Did you know that Paula Abdul’s ‘Forever You Girl’ was one of the most successful albums by a female artist in the history of the Billboard 200?
‘Forever Your Girl’ remained in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 for an astounding 64 consecutive weeks. That period represents the third longest run in the top 10 of the chart behind Alanis Morissette’s ‘Jagged Little Pill’ and Adele’s ’21′, which remained in that region of the chart for an unbroken 72 weeks and 78 weeks, respectively. Adele’s ’21′ has scored a total of 80 non-consecutive weeks in the top 10.
Ironically, ‘Forever Your Girl’ took 64 weeks to climb to #1 on the Billboard 200. The LP was released in the US on June 13th 1988 and didn’t claim the top spot for the first time until the week of October 7th 1989. To date, the album has been certified 7x platinum by the RIAA.

Cool, I didn’t know.
That’s odd. Something you don’t see nowadays. Now people’s albums sink rather than climb. And wow Adele……damn.
So I literally just finished doing Paula Abdul’s Get Up and Dance(don’t judge me lol)and decided to check out the site real quick and you happen to have a music minute on Paula Abdul’s…that’s too funny
Fyi, youve been judged lol! But I still bump that album when I do dishes so…
So, Christina Aguilera’s what a girl wantsvideo drew inspiration from this one…interesting.
Paula adbul was a force but there was really no way for her to keep her career going back then. She still made her mark. Straight up is like the baby one more time of the 80s
