We haven’t heard from Jarell Perry since the release of his last single, ‘Healing’, but now he is finally back in the spotlight with another new song. ‘Awkward‘ will appear on the singer’s upcoming ‘Simple Things’ and he promises that this is only the beginning.

The R&B-flavoured ‘Awkward’ shows off the best aspects of Perry’s artistry. Yet, don’t let me spoil the excitement. Listen to the track below and form your own opinion:

Perry really is such a breath of fresh auto-tune-free
air in the R&B arena. ‘Awkward’ is wonderfully written and his voice flows with the infectious moment, thus showing him the best possible light. Perhaps Perry should forget the EP and prepare for the release of a full album because the world needs to hear this talent.
