Every time Nicki Minaj takes one step forward, she eventually stumbles three steps back. For example, following the release of the impressive ‘High School (Ft. Lil Wayne)’, the confused rapper issued another new song called ‘I’m Legit’, this time featuring Ciara.
Both ‘High School’ and ‘I’m Legit’ will appear on Minaj’s upcoming ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up’ album, which will hit stores on November 19th. Listen to the latter tune and observe the stark differences below:
From the flow that has been used from Travis Porter (‘Make it Rain’) to Drake, to the typical appearance by everybody’s favourite rump-shaker – Ciara, ‘I’m Legit’ is a confusing mix of noise. Of course, this is the exact type of childish nonsense that Minaj’s fans call “epic” so at least they’ll be happy. Good luck getting this song to chart, Minaj.

Sorry but this is awful! terrible verses – some of the most laughable lyrics ive ever heard from a “rapper”. and Ciara was redundant.

high school is surprisingly better than this song. I like the I’m legit snippet better than the high school snippet but i like the full version of high school more than this.It’s ok. I hope they don’t plan on releasing this as a single, though. Here for up in flames and hell yeah.

“I’m Legit” is more so about how Nicki rides the beat versus the actual lyricism, although the song isn’t lyrically that bad. The fast Nicki can spit so fast over such a busy beat is what’s great about this particular track. All of the hip hop heads are here for this track. I’m just saying.
