Ehh..sounds like a mess. I, actually, like some of Rihanna’s songs…but this sounds rushed, and a bunch of songs sound like B-sides. The only ones that I liked were Stay (seems like the best one), What Now, and no surprise the Emeli Sande written bonus track Half of Me…the rest is blah…at least from the snippets.

She’s channeling Chris Brown on Pour It Up looooooool I can’t. I love Stay and What Now! Nobodies Business was kinda underwhelming but that’s just my opinion…. I’ll wait till the full album is released but it’s looking like Talk This Talk will be the better album of the two.

On a whole I think it’s terrible. I think it was ‘Pour It’ that sounded like trap music? Leave it alone.

But I am SOLD for ‘No Love Allowed’ and ‘Get It Over With’ sounds cool. I like the sample in ‘Jump’, thats about it.

i don’t know what Trent is talking about when he said she got it right. the album sounds okay snippetwise.
The cursing in the songs are unnecessary and tacky especially ‘Fresh out the runway’. what in the ratchet hell?
i love Jump and Nobodies business because she sampled Genuwine’s ‘Pony’ and MJ ‘The way u make me feel’. Jump is definitely a hit in my opinion.
sounds better than TTT for sure

As once a fan of Rihanna music I haven’t been impressed since RatedR. Maybe a song here and there. Same with ” unapologetic ” I heard maybe 2 songs I would like . However it sound exactly like Rihanna. Something she can finger bang herself to on stage. Something she can curse and act like a rapper to when she’s almost 25. I don’t get unapologetic from this. I get Rihanna need to sit down, act like a lady and grow up

Rihanna only became Rihanna with Rated R before that she was the run of the mill pop tart. RR, LOUD and TTT are all flawless.

It’s actually not that bad, obviously I can’t cosign it fully and confidently because I haven’t heard the full songs. It starts sounding pretty good from What Now to the end. Numb and Jump are cute. I wish Future wasn’t included on Loveeee Song, I can’t stand to listen to him, boy raps like he has something heavy in his mouth.

I’m guessing that THE DREAM did Fresh Out the Runway…Listen to “Animalistic” by Nivea…back in 2006. It sounds nearly the same. I’m so shocked that he’s retracting his sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EwhdCmLMFQ

I think this should have been the follow-up of the Loud album which is flawless in my opinion, not Talk That Talk. Right Now is S&M 2.0, and even better! This album is showing Rihanna’s artistic growth since Rated R and Loud, even though Loud lacked some artistic growth. Unapologetic is going to be big, all it needs is good management and single choices.

I know a lot of people don’t want to hear this BUT…RiRi said I can do a mid-tempo album too. Just like another DIVA we all know and love. Now granted it doesn’t have the same vocal power but she explores the different genres/samples more successfully IMO. I think she may ACTUALLY have a #1 US album on her hands. It’s fresh, old school, hood, and cheeky all at the same time.
