Did you know that Nicki Minaj has scored more hit songs on the Billboard Hot 100 than any other female rapper?

Minaj has thus far logged 42 entries on the Hot 100. She is ranked in sixth place among female artists with the most such hits, behind Aretha Franklin (73), Madonna (56), Dionne Warwick (56), Taylor Swift (56), Connie Francis (53), Brenda Lee (48) and Mariah Carey (44).

Ironically, none of Minaj’s songs have ever topped the Hot 100. On the other hand, 12 of Madonna’s 56 entries reached the lineup’s peak and 18 of Carey’s 44 hits have accomplished that feat. Minaj’s highest-charting single was ‘Super Bass’, which stalled at #3.

   are you still classing her as a “female rapper”? almost all of these entries were features/pop songs

     once again you don’t do your homework. Actually most of her entries are not pop songs. Some of her highest charting songs are the pop ones but the most of her entries are hip hop. Nice try, though.

   Seriously? I would never have thought this…but then again with all the songs she’s been featured on over the last couple of years, it sort of makes sense.

   But wait… Taylor Swift has 56 (the same amount as Madonna!)… she is silently selling and hitting the charts with her mediocre country-inspired pop music.
