Beyonce gets close in her upcoming HBO documentary.

With younger group of Pop stars currently dominating the charts, Beyonce will have to go the extra mile if she wishes to score a successful comeback in 2013. So, she has once again followed Michael Jackson by preparing a special documentary for HBO that will showcase her return to the spotlight and we have the first preview.

Set to air on February 16th 2013, Beyonce’s HBO documentary will depict how she is balancing motherhood with  her career, and “rare” footage of her childhood, family life and the development of her various projects. The special is perfectly timed to follow her performance at the Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show on February 3rd.

Watch the preview of Beyonce’s HBO documentary below:

It will be the same old propaganda that she spreads trying to convince people she writes all her own music and does everything herself which noone except for her die hard fans actually believes.

“Beyonce will have to go the extra mile if she wishes to score a successful comeback in 2013.” … Like, really? She is not trying to make a “comeback,” nor does she have to go the extra mile. Her last effort was certified Platinum within 2 moths with less marketing and promo than any of her other albums. No comeback is needed. No extra mile needs to be taken. All she has to do is record the best music she can, do her usual promo trail, and everything will fall into place as it should.

yeah but to act as if Beyonce is the most relevant act out there right now is quite ignorant. Yes she is talented and super fab,but hey wake up and smell the coffee honey, Bey needs era that re-establishes her legend status, cos right now most people feel she is slowly fading out unfortunately

Beyonce is not a fucking legend. Janet Jackson, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Sade, TLC, Tina Turner…Those people are legends. You calling Bey a legend was already wrong. Buying grammys and making mediocre music doesn’t make you a legend. She’s had 1 good album. Her 1st one.

certified in two months but it took about a year to get those albums off the shelves. Also she had no hits and no grammys. So yes she does need to make a comeback because last go round her album got overshadowed by Adele. Let’s not be delusional here.

Exactly I think people (her stans) take the MJ comparisons too literally because they act like she is the best selling artist with countless #1′s or something she has to work just as hard as others if it was so easy for her then her last #1 single wouldn’t have been in ’08. I was rooting for her last year but 4 was basic and did absolutely nothing for me. I wanted her to comeback hard and make me a fan again like I was in 06 07 because when she released I Am I was through like how do you follow up 2 of the best albums DIL & Bday with that crap? Then after that come out with a album with good but forgettable music…ch I won’t be watching this but I will read Trent’s review of it :)

Hmmm, No it took 5 months to sale 1 million, it took a year for Rihanna’s TTT to get those sales. Try Again.

Nicki also had a huge following but look at her recent sales. Trent is right to say Bey will have to work hard because huge following or not, only her die hard stans will be here for her new music unless she pours her blood, sweat and tears into her new project.

Honestly all PF Bey’s Docu-Concertd follow the exact sane format but the music, arrangements & delivery just get better & better so I have no complaints lol.

We all know the performances are going to be the shit. She never fails when it comes to live performances.

Every time an artists releases an album they aren’t necessarily making a comeback. Even though ’4′ sold considerably less than her previous album, that doesn’t mean she magically disappeared. It was still a platinum selling album in a gold and bronze industry.

She and her people are always on the ball. I give credit where it’s due. The recognized where they are after 4 and they know this is a big moment for her. Even a pop star as big as Beyonce can’t rest on her laurels.

That being said, part of the reason why I don’t like Beyonce’s music is because I still don’t know who she is. Someone mentioned something about “her story”. I know where she came from. I know she’s a nice person, but I don’t know who she is. Her music hasn’t told me who she is. It always seemed to me that she was telling several other people’s stories.

Maybe the documentary will pull in people like me, those who still don’t feel like they know her.

I don’t think you’ll get to know her ‘more’. I just don’t see her giving all of herself to everyone. Hardly any celeb is that forthcoming; to be so would be to diminish the facade of ‘celebrity’.

I appreciate her effort of her trying to appeal to her fans even though she is and seems to want to remain private; she’s doing this to stretch out her hand a little more and touch those who would continue to support her and her legacy.

I agree with some of the things Kola Boof mentioned recently.

I think Beyonce posting “the beginning…” or whatever on her site is to show the real beginning of her under her own leadership, sans her father’s influence.

Maybe this documentary will get her the Oscar nod she’s been talking about for years.

I feel like now she is seriously about pursuing a lasting legacy in the works she creates and not just pursuing making money, making hot beats and pop songs, or rocking hot fashions, or winning awards for everything, etc.

I think this time around, things will be much deeper for her.

It isn’t a comeback, I mean, people these days think if you’re not on TV every 5 secs you died. I mean, like if Beyonce’s videos aren’t everywhere anyway… Actually I was having a break from her not releasing 6 singles every month… It’s like she and Nicki Minaj take turns for that even tho I LOVE B’s music it’s just too much 18 singles when she gives us only 1 decent ballad and 1 epic dance tune each era. I ain’t watchin’ this “know the real me” thing… I had enough with the 4 documentary. Hope fans enjoy this.

I can’t wait to see Beyonce’s documentary. It’s going to be interesting to see behind the scenes of her somewhat private life. I’m especially excited to see what her family life is and how she balances it with her many projects. I’m glad my DISH coworker told me this would be on. I’ll be recording it on my DISH Hopper. I never run out of room on this DVR because it has a 2TB hard drive, enough room to record a whole season of my favorite show and this documentary. I can’t wait to see what Beyonce is going to share with us!
