New Video: Simone Battle – ‘He Likes Boys’

The latest episode of ‘The X Factor (US)’ ended just moments ago and judge Simon Cowell opted to send Simone Battle home. However, before the eccentric singer left the stage for the last time, she made sure to promote her new single, ‘He Likes Boys’.
Shockingly, the song already has an accompanying video that has been gathering a following on YouTube without any major marketing. Watch the ‘He Likes Boys’ visual below:
Where did Battle get the funding for this visual? It is amazing! The track is infectious, exciting and well-written. In fact, with the right promotion, there is absolutely no reason why this song would not be a hit!
Battle may not have been the most talented contestant on ‘X Factor’ but Cowell was correct in his statements regarding her star potential. Indeed, she is the definition of the modern Pop star and it will be very interesting to watch her progress.

Simon and her video reminds me a lot to some sort of Rihanna & Kesha fusion. Cowell knows his business so I guess he actually got rid of her so she could actually start her solo career. He knew the girl wouldn’t win the competition but he definitely knew the girl actually has a shot in the real world.
Personally I didn’t love the song, was just meh.

This is the kinda song Katy Perry would make. She looks and sounds like a pop star. Something tells me she could be more successful than the eventual winner of American Idol, because she looks the part of a pop star, and the one with a bigger voice doesn’t.
All she needs is some songs Britney or Katy would do and she could be big.
I seen the you tube video up on Facebook threw a friend and automatically started to see where i could by the cd lol just for this song not knowing that a cd wasn’t even made. I would blast this song in my car and at home. :}}}}}

She reminds me of Rihanna. she has the star quality but the quality of her voice is another story.
Her problem was she couldn’t sing LIVE – NOw granted many popstars (yes Brit) can’t…but XF was a singing competition. Im wondering who wrote the song, who paid for it, when was it done…and doesnt XFactor have a contract that prohibits the contestants from releasing songs until after the show. Its just weird. Thank God for Auto tune. I don’t like Simone but have to hand it to her, the song is catchy and she’s gotten lots of press today. Its not on iTunes last I checked so maybe thats how she got away with it. (astro has a 09 album on iTunes and others have released music too- everyones not as new as we think) Simone was also a backup dancer with BLackeyedpeas so I wonder if someone there helped her. SImon wanted to make her a popstar but she didn’t cooperate – She was easily the worst contestant last night and she also forgot all the lyrics the other time -The Idol Simon would have massacred her. Maybe thats why these singing competitions haven’t yielded popstars- they’re looking for singers- not XFACTOR…so it will be interesting to see…But also Simone needs to realize that you need people to like you – Her attitude was really bad and she was very arrogant. Astro is but he can at least back it up…but on a show like XF, people need to vote for you

She’s beautiful. She has a decent voice. She’s just gotta get consistent live. However, she does have the pop star appeal in her favor. Simone been did this video. She and Simon knew that they were gonna do this. This sounds just like a Katy Perry song. He’s probably already signed her. This is a nice lil song and video.

In response to the autotune comments. There is no doubt the girl can sing a little but there’s clearly prodigious use of autotune on this vocal. Mind you most artists use it these day. She proved though that pitch is a huge issue for her when performing live, fact.
