Did you know that Seal’s ‘Kiss from a Rose’ won the Grammy Awards for Song of the Year and Record of the Year?
‘Kiss from a Rose’ nabbed the Song of the Year and Record of the Year honors at the 1996 Grammy Awards ceremony. The track also won a third trophy at the show for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
Seal originally wrote ‘Kiss from a Rose’ for his second self-titled album, ‘Seal’, and released the track in the UK in July 1994. However, it became an even bigger hit when it was rereleased in June 1995 as part of the ‘Batman Forever’ soundtrack and climbed to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
