Adele ’21′ was released in February 2011 in the US but the album is still maintaining its sales momentum. In fact, after 66 weeks on the Billboard 200, the record has still managed to chart in the top 3 of the lineup!
To date, ’21′ sold over 56K copies this week, raising its total sales to 9.21 million in the US. Certified 9x platinum by the RIAA, the album has thus far notched 23 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 and is on track to reach diamond status during the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ sold another 18K copies at #20 on the Billboard 200 for a new total of 493K units. Finally, Drake’s ‘Take Care’ placed at #39 with 9K copies (total: 1.75 million).
