Alicia Keys was announced as one of the performers for the upcoming 2012 MTV VMA and she is determined to make the show one of the most memorable events of the year. To achieve that feat, the songstress has revealed that she will debut a new single live on the Staples Center stage.
Seeking to recapture the momentum she set when she performed ‘No One’ for the first time at the 2007 MTV VMA, Keys noted on MTV News that she will debut her new single at the 2012 show. The event will be held at 8pm ET on September 6th in Los Angeles.
This announcement is an indicator that Keys’ recently released ‘New Day’ has been carded as simple buzz single. That is good news for 50 Cent, who basically remixed the song with Dr. Dre as the lead offering for his upcoming ‘Street King Immortal’ album (due on November 13th).
