Usher’s ‘Climax’ was truly ahead of its time when it debuted on radio earlier this year. So, following the massive success of the innovative record across all formats, it is no surprise that other artists are following in his footsteps. For instance, Marsha Amrbosius’ ‘Cold War’.
Ambrosius joined forces with Diplo, who also produced ‘Climax’, to create ‘Cold War’ for her upcoming ‘Friend & Lovers’ album. In fact, the song even boasts the same theme of a tumultuous relationship as its predecessor. Listen to ‘Cold War’ below:
Despite the obvious similarities between ‘Climax’ and ‘Cold War’, the greatness of the latter tune can’t be denied. The production is captivating and Amrbrosius’ vocal performance was perfectly suited to the composition. Hey, I rather hear an artist be inspired by good music than the redundant trash on radio today.
