Ciara’s career has been circling the drain along with Crunk music, the word ‘bling’ and gold grills for years, and we all know it. However, instead of avoiding the truth, she has addressed her declining relevance head on in the latest episode of MTV’s This is How I Made It.
In addition to discussing her childhood and journey toward earning a record deal, Ciara openly chatted about the horrendous sales of her most recent albums, Fantasy Ride and Basic Instinct. In fact, she admitted that the performance of the triple-toilet paper Basic Instinct was extremely poor, and that it was nothing less than a “punch to the heart.”
So, how will Ciara fix her career with her new album, One Woman Army? She has taken a “turnt up” approach with even more creative control. For her sake, the sales of the record better reflect that effort or else she will be turning up burgers at Wendy’s by the end of the year.
