Justin Timberlake launched a massive promotional campaign for his new album, The 20/20 Experience, and now he is about to reap the rewards. The first day sales trends have been analysed and the early predictions for the record’s chart performance are almost unbelievable!
The 20/20 Experience is expect to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 next week with sales of 750-800K copies. Those numbers far exceed the 684k units that the album’s predecessor, FutureSex/LoveSounds, moved when it debut in the US during September 2006. Hey, there’s a reason Timberlake is often called The Great White Hope.
Both singles from The 20/20 Experience have pierced the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. The lead offering, “Suit & Tie (Ft. Jay-Z)”, has thus far peaked at #4 whereas its followup, “Mirrors”, has climbed to #24. The accompanying video for the latter debuted last evening (March 19th).
