The new season of The Voice premiered last evening via NBC, and it introduced new coaches Usher and Shakira as welcome replacements for Cee Lo Green and Shakira. Kicking off their residency with a bang, the pair joined forces with Blake Shelton and Adam Levine for a rendition of The Beatles’ “Come Together”.
Jermaine Dupri didn’t get land a slot on Usher’s last album, Looking 4 Myself, but now he’s getting the chance to prove is worth. Reuniting with his longtime friend and collaborator, with whom he crafted the classic Confessions LP, Dupri shared this image of himself and Usher in the studio as they recorded new music.
Patrons at SXSW got a major surprise last evening when Usher hit the stage for an unexpected showcase at Fader Fort. Backed by The Afghan Whigs, the R&B superstar performed a string of his hits, including “Climax”, “OMG”, “Bad Girl” and “U Got it Bad”, for the Texan crowd.
