Christina Aguilera got close to Adele backstage at a concert in Los Angeles last evening. The struggling singer is currently recording the followup to her commercially disastrous ‘Bionic’ album and has cited Adele as the inspiration behind her new sound.
See what songwriter Talay Riley had to say about the project below:
“Christina gave us a personal brief,” Talay tells the Daily Star. “It was like a letter saying what she wanted to achieve with her next album. She wants this album to be the one which touches people and reflects all the personal experiences she’s been through in the last few years, like motherhood and divorce.”
“Basically she wants songs that are as big as ‘Beautiful’. Christina wants to make another ‘Stripped’ and sees Adele as her new inspiration.”

Hopefully, Aguilera learned that there is a difference between inspiration and imitation. Although it would be a great for her to tackle more mature material similar to ’21′, it would be even better for her to finally craft a sound that is truly her own.
Besides, as brilliant as ‘Stripped’ was in its time, it was nothing more than a direct copy of the work done by Pink and Mariah Carey with a dash of Britney Spears on ‘Dirrty’. Can you name 3 ‘new’ things that Aguilera brought to the industry? Nothing? That’s what I thought.

Why do gay guys always have to be so cunty? Christina is the voice of her generation. She has more vocal ability and stage presence than most. So why not give her what respect she’s entitled to. Pink and Mariah are wonderful as well, and all 3 ladies have had their time in the spotlight.
I wish Trent wasn’t trying so hard to top (or bottom, depending on his preference) his old site. Sometimes it’s great to just give the news or entertainment headlines without any extra commentary, bitchiness, attitude or remarks!

Lmao late say Wats real n its ALWAYS the gay guys smh insecure punks
No one will deny that Christina has one of the best voices around. However, she is technically abismal and wails into the mic like a wounded beast. Furthermore, vocal ability is not enough. In some cases, it’s not even required (see Trey Songz, Rihanna etc.). But Trent hit the nail on the head. Stripped was great but it wasn’t original.
Writing a song about female empowerment that not Mariah, Pink or Britney did! Can’t hold us down, being the voice of her generation. She writes music about her personal troubles and shit she goes through so don’t come with your shit trent! You so pressed! You talk about Xtina everyday on your twitter and about Sam it makes you look so pressed!
I love Mimi, Pink even though they don’t get along with X but comments like this you make just makes me not wanting to like them!
How was stripped not original when she wrote most of it herself and about HER PERSONAL REAL LIFE STORIES!
You a pressed queen Trentisha!
Adele looks really freaking good. I can’t see Christina touching that ’21′ sound and doing a sellable job but I do agree it’s time the music industry grow up and start letting vocalists sing to the people who don’t go to clubs.
You know, I’m not fan of Aguilera (I’m a lamb actually) but I think this time you were a bit harsh on her Trent. It seems her attitude has changed for good and about naming 3 new things that she’s brought to the industry well… at least she has some talent, sings live unlike Spears et al who inconceivably happen to be honored by this so called music industry. Disgusting!!
That being said, they both look good on the picture.
Wow Trent, really?!?!?!? What Christina Aguilera has brought in the industry is the vocals and real singing. Just because you’re a Lamb, why do you have to go and attack Xtina? She seems in a happier time and all she did was go to an Adele concert and you just bash her for that? I love both Mariah and Christina, and you need to grow up. Last time I check Mariah’s last two album flop and weren’t even good (E=Mc2 & Memoirs of an Inperfect Angel)……asshole.
So xtina has one flop albym, but remember mariah has a couple for ex. Charmbracelet, e=mc2, memoirs of an inperfect angel, the remixes, merry christmas to you, glitter and not to mention that other remix album for memoirs that never came out. Stay press trent.
I do agree the criticism to Christina seemed more like shade rather than constructive critique, and I will agree that she doesn’t possess striking originality (which many other people lack, especially in this day and age), but I do respect her for being a vocal singer, even though she needs to work on technique and stop yelling into the mic, and I don’t like her bitter personality in the slightest. But it would be nice to see her craft her own style on her next album, and learn to use her vocals effectively, because she does have a great voice, however her approach to belting takes away from her “singing”. It would be great to hear more vocals topping the charts in this age of dance/electropop songs that I’m getting really sick and tired of hearing.
On another note, I know some people in the comments have bashed Mariah just because Trent did so to Xtina, but relying purely on facts, while Mariah has had her fair share of albums that were not very successful, even so, she is still the best selling solo female artist in history, even with her “flop” albums.
Broke bitch please. Xtina has made songs like Fighter, Keep On Singing My Song, and Can’t Hold Me Down amongst countless others. What exactly did P!nk or Britney bring? Youre safe with Mariah.
Oh, Trent, you should have stayed on the purple site. You fail at blogging. Stay up Xtinas vag, pressed little queen. She makes more money sitting in a chair judging peoples vocal crediblity them you do with this flop blog
Shade or no shade by Trent, I get his point that there is a fine line between imitation and inspiration. I hope that she is inspired and does not rip Adele of. Good luck xtina.
BTW, Madonna has sold more than Mariah worldwide and in the US.
Stripped was a direct copy of Pink, Mariah and Brit? I dont even remember Mariah fat ass doing a album close to Stripped. Brit I cant……and the only thing pink and xtina had the same thing common was Linda Perry.
Christina is “NOT” struggling she has just spent 2 weeks at number one with maroon 5….. SO GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT BEFORE POSTING STUPID BLOGS!!!!!!!!!
