With his free ’1977′ LP available online tomorrow, The-Dream has been busy drumming up hype for the project with a new song called ‘Wake Me When It’s Over’. In fact, the title is the opening track on the 11-cut album.

At this stage I am almost completely convinced that The-Dream is either recycling beats from his previous projects or this album is simply a collection of unreleased songs. Indeed, both this song and ‘Murderer’ sound as though they were rejected from his ‘Love vs Money’ LP in favour of far more impressive tracks such as ‘Fancy’.
The-Dream has really encountered a stationary period in his creative process and it is time for him to try something new. Maybe that Hip-Hop/Rock band that he has been planning isn’t such a bad idea after all.
