Did you know that Danity Kane were the first female group in the history of the Billboard 200 to have their first 2 albums debut at #1 on the chart?
The quintet’s self-titled debut as well as their ‘Welcome to the Dollhouse’ albums entered the Billboard 200 at #1. Unfortunately, the group disbanded in 2009 before they had the opportunity to extend the record with a third chart-topper.

It was DIDDY!! he was in talks with Dawn to do solo ish and that caused turmoil within the group. Didst saw this and got rid of the others.

@Theresa I agree. People like to blame diddy or a spicific group member, but I blame the whole group they all played a part even if it was minor. They was a great group but they destroyed that, not diddy or one member.
And bitter fans who don’t know how to let things go are about to go back and forth like idiots on here, so let me leave.
Dont four of them still “talk to” each other? if they gave a shit they’d be back together even if “no one talks to Dawn”. She brought nothing to the group anyway so why didnt they move on without her?
My guess is they are just as over it as she is…..therefore so am I.
Diddy not compensating and paying them like they’re supepose to be paid was the real big problem. Before the second album came out they said they almost went broke. They didn’t get a royalty check for the first album (even though it went platinum). He on some shady shit. That’s why they trust him
Aubreys about to blow up (with low key help from Diddy) so she could care less about Danity Kane, dont be fooled if she says otherwise. The rest of them hoes gone fade into the background like they did in the group.
It’s a shame the group fell apart but I don’t think Diddy was the reason. Aubrey and D Woods were missing performances. People can say what they want about Dawn but she was there for the group. And Aubrey is not about to blow up…I thought she was when she had the reality TV show and then she just fell off. I liked the song Automatic but did she even promote it?

It’s not Diddy’s fault that the group broke up. He only wanted Aubrey gone, because she was becoming fake, acting like she was the hottest shit of the group (it was funny how she went from quiet and humble to being loud, wannabe ghetto and “real” when she made the group) and doing side projects instead of trying to make herself better for the group. He didn’t fire D. Woods either…he even had the others tell her that, but she said “Well in my mind he did” only because he didn’t want her Aubrey in, which is stupid because she only met Aubrey because of the group. I’m sorry but if it was me and that happened, I would have stayed in the group instead of leaving because he kicked someone else out. Shannon left and with good reason. She’s married and spent so much time away from her husband, so why stay there when you don’t know if the group will continue to having problems or not? As far as folks hating on Dawn, she was the one that came up with the name (even if it sucks), she was coming up with the concept for the videos, writing the songs and so on. I see why did kept her outta everyone in the end. Danity Kane ended themselves, not Diddy. I’m not a Danity Kane fan/stan (though I like their albums) and I’m not here for Diddy-Dirty Money either…I’m just someone with common sense who watched the show and saw what happened.

Aubreys been in the studio workin on her album. She just arrived in NY this week and started filming A NEW SERIES (not sure if its AAA) and is now being styled by June Ambrose(ious) former image consultant to Jay Z and Diddy.
With regards to the music: Aubreys label decided launching new matierial along side a new show, with a new image (shes MTB thin again) was the way to go. So I guess what I’m saying is “Aubreys good, shes about to BLOW UP!”

Diddy didnt break the group. They all did with there fighting. People come at Dawn all the time but it doesn’t bother me. They just need someone to blame and as she’s SUCCESSFUL she is easy pickings.I LOVE DAWN because of her hustle. Dawn and Diddy didnt have any plans for her to go solo. SHE and Shannon were the only two who were really for the brand and group. Aubrey wanted the fame, Dimples wanted to go home all the time and D wanted to be Aubrey’s best friend. I was heartbroken when DK split. HOWEVER, through hard work and determination, Dawn and Aubrey have stayed in the spotlight. Dawn for the good reasons, Aubrey for the scandals. ‘Last train to paris’ is a AMAZING album and her mixtape was really good. Iam glad Aubrey is working with a stylist because she needs to change the bad perception people have on her. Her Tv show helped, but she needs to not be photographed wearing nothing. The girl has brains but she sells herself short too many times. I mean what was Playboy all about? Yeah, you’ve got some money in your bank but wheres the music or the industry/FAN respect?
Aubrey is the only member with a show and a new album on the way. And automatic was a sucess reaching top 20 on the pop charts so everyone take a seat!
I hate when ever this DK talk comes up cause at the end of the day ppl dont want to talk facts that are there they want to side with their favs. I started out loving all of the girls. There is no hidden secret that Aubrey missed a bunch of shows. DWoods wanted to follow behind her, Andrea couldn’t take Aubrey’s big head and Shannon wanted to her husband. Dawn is the creator of the name Danity Kane and still owns rights to the name which has created several comic books in the same name. None of them wrote on the first album but they all were included in the second with Dawn writing the most. Dawn NEVER had a solo after the group she was stuck in a contrack with Diddy with no hope in sight of releasing anthing. Dawn stayed in diddy’s face after the group trying to prove herself until she was given a chance to write for Last Train which was just diddy’y solo album. While creating it he saw the vision to add the girls. All in all Aubrey and Dawn are the only ones pumping hard and Dawn mix tape was sick and it exceeded a million downloads within its first month she also has an album slated to come out next year so @Jesus diaz , I think you are the one that needs to have SEVEAL SEATS. Get your facts straight before you speak. *rolls eyes and walks away SMH*
All I have to say is that y’all better keep it all the way cute and not mention my girls Shannon and Aundrea. Them >>> the rest. Those other 3 seemed shady. I liked me so D Woods at times too
