JoJo Performs Passionate Cover Of Bruno Mars’ ‘Grenade’

When JoJo made waves across the web when she performed a cover of Rihanna’s ‘What’s My Name?’ and now she has returned with her own version of another popular song – Bruno Mars’ ‘Grenade’. The young singer delivered a powerful rendition of the track at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston last evening to help raise awareness for breast cancer.

Performances like this only raise the anticipation for JoJo to make a Pop/Soul or even full R&B album. She has such a distinct tone and control over her range that would work well on more Blues-inspired material than the Pop/Rock ‘Disaster’. Hopefully, JoJo was accurate when she averred that her new album was inspired by Urban as well as Pop sounds because this cover of ‘Grenade’ was simply amazing.

I agree. Pop/R&B Neo soul fits her better than this Poppy/Rock music she sings nowadays. I dont think she will be taken serious singing Pop/Rock music and she can really sing.
