New Song: Day26 – ‘Made Love Lately’

The boys have Day26 have announced their return to the limelight with a new song entitled ‘Made Love Lately’. However, now that Que has left the band and they have been freed from their contract at Bad Boy Records, the quartet are using other inventive methods to promote their upcoming ‘A New Day’ album, including a web series.

‘Made Love Lately’ was produced by Jim Beanz and is the first official release from ‘A New Day’ on Atlantic Records. Listen to the song below:

It is quite endearing to see that Day26 have not given up on their careers. Despite the various issues that they have encountered in the past – arguably as a result of Diddy’s horrible guidance and Que’s emotional conflicts with Willie – they are undeniably more promising as a group than as solo acts.

‘Made Love Lately’ is a solid R&B record with excellent harmonies from the remaining four members. Although they clearly had some studio assistance with their notes, they crafted an impressive song.

The Urban market – and the industry in general – is sorely missing an R&B group. As we wait for a girl group to rise to the forefront of the charts, Day26 would be excellent flagship figures for the rebirth of the R&B movement.

   I love these guys, I watched that first MTB season with cuch excitement b/c i knew these guys could sangg thei asse off and they’d be a great group. Sadly they’eve struggled to est. themselves in a climate that does not appreciate good r&b or groups for that matter. Can’t wait for the album… Hmm something tells me if they even have moderate success diddy will try to come back into picture claiming responibility!
