New Video: Mariah Carey & John Legend – ‘When Christmas Comes (Remix)’

Viewers of ‘A Very BET Christmas’ were treated to a very special exclusive last evening – the premiere of Mariah Carey and John Legend’s ‘When Christmas Comes (Remix)’. The festive tune will appear on the deluxe edition of Carey’s ‘Merry Christmas II You’ album, which will hit stores next year along with Legend’s first Holiday-themed LP.

The original version of ‘When Christmas Comes’ appeared on Carey’s ‘Merry Christmas II You’ album, which debuted in November 2010. To date the gold-certified collection has sold over 469K copies in the US.

This video achieved its purpose of capturing the fun and traditional R&B vibe of the song. Surely, people were not expecting a major theatrical production similar to Lady Gaga’s ‘Marry the Night’ when they heard this ‘When Christmas Comes’. As such, this visual depicted exactly what it the song demanded – friends, family and Christmas cheer.

   Such a lovely video. I agree Trent, all in all that’s what Xmas is about: being with the family, at home and having a good time. John & Mariah need to make another duet btw!!

   As a Mariah fan I have to say I have not really cared for the last few music videos she has released, but I do think this music video is adorable!! it has a very family festive feeling(something I was privileged to as a child) and perfect to have playing in the background during the holiday season

   I’m going to have to agree with Shea Butter on this one. Her last few videos were really bad but this was is surprisingly appropriate for the song. It captured all the holiday joys that some of us (like myself) forget in our frantic attempts to complete shopping lists, holiday party and work deadlines. I’m happy.
