Katy Perry Announces First ‘Complete Confection’ Single

Katy Perry revealed the artwork of her ‘Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection’ repackaged album this morning and she has kept the momentum at a high by announcing the project’s lead single. However, the track isn’t exactly a new song.

‘Part of Me’ has been selected as the first offering from ‘Complete Confection’. The track, which surfaced prematurely online since November last year, will be available at digital retailers on February 21st. ‘Complete Confection’ will arrive in stores on March 27th.

Despite the fact that ‘Part of Me’ has been circulating online for months and several of Perry’s fans have performed their own covers of the tune on YouTube, the song is still a strong contender to be a hit on Top 40/Mainstream radio. The production simply screams “radio hit” and it was cleverly written so Perry’s 7th career #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 may very well be within her grasp.

   it’s exactly the same as the demo i downloaded a year ago, but I still love it!

   This is the PERFECT song to perform at the Grammys, especially after the divorce. It’s like she calculated the whole thing.
