Adele’s ’21′ album has sold over 6.39 million copies in the US and remained atop the Billboard 200 for 19 weeks so it is difficult to believe that she has done little promotion for the record during the last few months. However, the recluse singer sat down with ’60 Minutes’ to discuss the success of the project and the surgery that almost derailed her career.
Speaking to ’60 Minutes’ host Anderson Cooper about the tumultuous ending of 2011, Adele revealed that she could not even speak for weeks after undergoing laser surgery to remove a polyp from her vocal cords. Yet, she somehow found a way to make the best of the situation and still have fun.
Adele’s segment on ’60 Minutes’ will air on February 12th at 7pm ET, shortly before the 2012 Grammy Awards ceremony, which airs at 8pm ET. Watch a preview of her interview below:

Oh and Anderson Cooper isn’t the host of 60 minutes , he’s a part-time correspondent
Nominated for six Grammy’s–I hope she wins all six. Yes!
