Whitney Houston Hits New Low At Pre-Grammy Party

If you thought Whitney Houston’s voice couldn’t get any worse then think again because the situation has continued to worsen. The once gifted singer hit the stage alongside her ‘Heartbreak Hotel’ collaborator Kelly Price at a pre-Grammy Awards event last evening and instead of showing signs of improvement, her voice was almost nonexistent.
Houston and Price sang a rendition of ‘Jesus Loves Me’ for the audience. However, despite the raving cheers from surprised fans who kept chanting “sing Whitney,” the latter just couldn’t deliver.

Clearly, Houston’s recent outing with Ray J didn’t involved a trip to a vocal coach because this performance was tragic. How was possible for her to struggle with ‘Jesus Loves Me’ when it is the simplest song for any 3-year old child to sing in Sunday school? Really, my dog is barking at the garbage truck outside and he sounds better than Houston!
At this point, there is no need to critique Houston’s voice. She has gotten progressively worse during the last 6 years and it is obvious that she will not improve. Maybe she should just retire from recording music and focus on her acting career where she could simply lip-sync on the set to the voices of other more competent singers.
I am eager to hear the studio mechanics involved with making Houston’s voice tolerable on the ‘Sparkle’ soundtrack. Let’s see if her producers have what it takes to transform the voice of Big Ang from ‘Mob Wives’ into Kelly Rowland.

OH MY LORD @ the picture!!! LMAO!… You are too much, Trent. Whitney was talking more than singing :/ Why does she keep embarrassing herself at these type of events?
what a hater! and posting that pic when she looks nothing like that just validates what whitney fans say about you being obsessed with her and hating on her. of course no mention that she’s been recording for days with harvey mason jur this week and last week and that she has been to the docter on tues this week and last week with pictures on the net showing her coming from doctors office. She wasn’t even trying to sing.

Her voice sounds soooooo dry and it was cracking like an opening door in a creepy old house.
Nice to see the Kelly compliment, Trent! Whitney’s “Someone For Me” sounds like a song Kelly could sing, even the tone and vocal diversity is similar to how Kelly now sings.

She really sounded bad, I understand why the crowd was cheering her because she represents too much in music she’s an icon and she should remain in that way. She better takes acting as a career choice over music because… that was just a mess.
You need to accept when your fave cannot deliver anymore, you can always cherish the times when she was glorious but don’t come on this post calling Trent a hater when he was just telling the truth.
I feel bad for her. I don’t think this is a case where she’s having a “bad day” this is way worse and no excuse could be told. *sigh*
Whitney needs to bow out gracefully
such a hater she barely sang two lines. your just trying to set up the hate so when she sounds good on Sparkle, which we have seen from the clips they’ve shown you want to make an excuse and say it was “studio mechanics” your so bitter and jealous that Whitney still gets this type of love and respect and she’s shooting major motion pictures and all your fav has is Jenny Craig and the home shopping network. get out of here

I love Whitney. I truly do… I don’t understand why she would attend this event and not be prepare, some hot tea with lemon and little honey would have at least giving her the ability to sing Jesus love me in a 2nd soprano key. There is no excuse for this mess. You are Whitney everyone expects you to sing. If you are not up to par then say I’m under the weather. Good Lawd! remain the Queen that you are. Ugggh (in my charlie brown voice)
