Photoshop is truly a diva’s best friend and Christina Aguilera made full use of the handy tool for the cover of her new album, ‘Lotus’. Wearing nothing except a few packs of hair extensions, the fearless singer showed off her retouched curves in the artwork of the record, which will be released on November 13th.
By no form of coincidence, the lead single from ‘Lotus’ is the sexually-charged ‘Your Body’. However, Aguilera’s fans clearly don’t want any part of her rounder frame because the song tumbled thirty spots from #34 to #64 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week. Watch the video for ‘Your Body’ below:

Exactly what is your problem with this lady? Just curious….I’m not a stan of her (team britney) I just really want to know why you throw her so much shade. Did i miss something? lol
Well… Mariah fans are much like her : insecure, boring, redundant, threatened by any and everything, corny, tacky, repetitive, hostile to any other female artist especially when they’re younger, and they display premenauposal symptoms such as : mood swings, vocal issues, and as you can see with Trent, vaginal dryness and hot flashes.
Mariah is none of those things and neither are her fans & why would we be threatened when Mariah is the most successful female solo artist of all time? If you’re gonna write a comment then at least make sure it makes sense.
Probably one of the worst covers I’ve seen by a major artist in quite some time….yikes!

Why are you so obsessed with hating her? I mean really she has you pressed real hard. And you’re really going to try to talk about Photoshop after the MANY years/times Mariah made sure it was her “best friend”. I bet you don’t even see what’s wrong with what you’re doing, you’re telling anyone with that body type that something is wrong with them, that they are less than because they aren’t bony, that they need to stick their heads in toilets, or take boxes of laxatives in order to be ok. What you’re doing by implying that makes You less of a person for that being all you see with her, yet somehow Mariah never has a weight problem to you. Mariah is the same size as Christina if not thicker, and you never talk about her up and down weight. Your bias shines so damn bright.

When it comes to her figure, I’ve had defended her several times -because I’m not her fan in any means-, It just bothers me that people pay too much attention in a woman’s weight. However, I do agree in one thing w/ Trent: this is way toooooooo much Photoshop and I would have respected her if she had shown who she really is. Flaws in all, just like she says: fuck everyone!
I have no problems admitting that my fave Mariah has used such tool several times, so you Xtina fans should agree she did the same exact thing just like HER fave.

I rooted for Christina with her “Back to Basics” era and was extremely happy that she had finally found herself and was doing something that would finally get her out of Britney’s shadow. This all changed with Bionic. I’m tired of the reinvention. It is distasteful and exaggerated now.

so she basically did a tacky remake of her stripped album cover, photoshopped to death. and somehow managing to channel mariah (as always)… anyways i doubt shes gonna make a HUGE comeback. your body is already dropping on the charts, smh she shoulda been performed it already.
Firstly, your body was meant to be a hit and had all the tools. However the song leaked 1 month before its release, the art work for Your Body was mind blowing the song is a hit i dont know why they didnt release it when it leaked? the album cover however is shockingly bad they need to change it.

anyways….yea i don’t know why there is so much shade you give her. Yeah, sometimes she can overdue her voice. However, you can’t deny that she is very talented. She is one the few singers who can actually “SANG”. Give the girl a break.
It’s funny when Trent hates on Christina for stuff he routinely gives Mariah a pass for… he says this is overdone with photoshop when most of Mariah’s pics look like paintings and some of those “MCIIY” pics she looked like a character from the sims lmao…
Anyway the music is what I’m here from and I love it, She hasn’t even performed the single on any shows or anything so until she does I’m not worried, and remember “Dirrty” / “Beautiful” that will happen again if needs be.
Mariah is in great shape. Xtina is shorter so it would make her look plumper. This isn’t that photoshopped. She looks really good. To the person that wrote that false speech about Mariah and her fans, that is void.
I think this should not have been the album cover. I think should have been something more lighter on the photoshop. Showing her raw beauty. Nonetheless, it’s a really great album cover. She’s aiming for a hindu goddess look. Waiting for the deluxe cover.
The photoshop is being overtly exaggerated. In the “Your Body” video, mama is curvy but not plump. I’ve said this many times before, there is nothing wrong with Christina’s frame. She is beautiful. If there were Photoshop done, then it was minor. Because she looks the same as in the video. After Nicki tags Mariah, she will be back to her post- glitter frame.
I don’t like the cover, however I’m really excited about the album. Just really want some good music from my faves in my hands. Hopefully we get Mariah’s album early next year, so tired of hearing the dance crap.
It is just a damn album cover, people! I don’t give a damn if she would have had her mother on the cover naked. All that matters to me is her music and I hope she doesn’t disappoint me.
All these comments about her weight, and use of photoshop are in very poor taste. I don’t find grown men making fun of her weight funny. It’s bad enough that we have grown women who tear down other women.
Trent, I love you but you do lay on the shade a little thick when it comes to Christina. I agree that she does over sing but come on, she’s not fat. Her body has obviously changed since her teens and 20′s but stop being mean. & as for everyone talking about photoshop, EVERY album cover is photoshopped these days…some more heavily than others but photoshop is photoshop.
