Ciara Walks Through ‘Sorry’ Performance In South Africa

Written by Trent | Filed under Ciara
    Ciara Sorry TheLavaLizard

Ciara prepares to perform at a concert in South Africa.

Rihanna once joked that Ciara would have a rather difficult time securing a stage to demonstrate the fact that she is a better entertainer than her Bajan peer. Well, after searching far and wide, Ciara finally found venue that would host her in South Africa. Unfortunately, what she did on that stage while performing ‘Sorry’ was far from noteworthy.

Simply walking around the platform instead of showing off the dance moves that made her famous, Ciara attempted to prove that she has the vocals to match her high energy steps. Yet, don’t let me influence your opinion before you actually see what she did in South Africa. Watch the footage below:

So, rather than introduce ‘Sorry’ to the world in the best way possible – sexy choreography, a couple backbends and an intense dance break – Ciara strolled around as though she is blessed with the voice of Celine Dion. You know, because ‘Sorry’ is such a power ballad and she needed to take the time to show off what she can do with her two octave range.

    Thoughts?

Her performance was good. It was her first time performing it, it was cold, the mic was barely on, and she had to wait for 3 hours due to technical difficulties. Yeah there were a few bad spots but overall it was good. Trent, you will deal.

cmon Trent it gets better from 2:00 . It was an okay performance. She barely sang the chorus but i think she did good on the second verse. She made an effort to be more than a girl with sick dance moves but a lil ass voice. And at the end she did it a capella. It wasn’t as bad as you pretended ! You always saying artists should learn how to sound different or how to renew themselves. At least she tried! you could’ve gave her props for that. Ciara KNOWS she isn’t mariah or celine u know? That doesn’t mean she doesn’t have the right to try to sing live stop trying to fit her in a box.

I’m gonna make an excuse here. He pants have built in knee pads which leads me to believe that she was dancing throughout her set. I think she wanted the audience to take her vocals seriously. Which is not a bad thing. Limited vocals or not, people are buying her music.

I think her getting the audience to sing the song with her at the end was a great way to get them into the song. She did what she had to do to push the song. I’m not even a big Ciara fan but she did the right thing.

I am not a Ciara fan, but she had a few pitchy notes here
and there but overall it was a O.K. performance. She
actually has a nice sound to her voice.

Why are all these girls doing such horrible promo, this year, Mariah, Brandy, Rihanna, and now Ciara. I don’t even like her but she needs to step it up.

Hopefully when she performs this on tv, she’ll have the choreo ready… cause as a Ciara STAN this was a mess. Belly rolling, hitting the accents in the beat, slow winding & a matrix when she was feeling it was needed

Sorry is the perfect name for this song, for that’s how I feel while watching that video.

This girl needs to stop trying to sing. I don’t know who is behind this, but they need to stop encouraging her.

Shut up and dance, bitch. In her case Lip Synching is totally eacceptable and should be encouraged.

      I feel second hand embarrassment

Somebody hang this bitch on a coat rack until further notice.
