Solange should be commended for keeping her sound fresh and unpredictable. ‘Losing You’ is a solid effort that channels similar elements to Frank Ocean’s writing style with her own quirkiness. Although I would have greatly appreciated another radio-friendly record like her ever so catchy hit ‘T.O.N.Y.’, Solange gets my respect for being her own artist. So, gold star for her.

“A racist grandmother…we don’t even pay attention.” So…if you don’t pay attention why are you on the “racist grandmother’s site? Is this the only site that provided you the option of viewing her video. Trent is correct and originality is in Solange’s favor vs Beyonce. How many times has Beyonce been sued for copyright infringement? The list goes on. Solange does a fantastic job being her own and not conforming to the “Norm.”

Beyonce might be a great performer (not unique) but her sister definitely slays her in music department (the most important one). Bey is average, generic and boring (well the music she chooses from her writers I mean)

It was nice to see her release something that’s cool and a departure from her last work. She’s a talented young woman who deserves recognition for being an actual artist. It was a refreshing track and I can’t wait to hear more.
