Alicia Keys scored her own segment on CBS’ ‘Person to Person’ last evening, and aside from explaining the direction of her new ‘Girl on Fire’ album, the diva gave viewers a glimpse into her personal life. From her musical influences to her family, Keys happily chatted about everything.
Keys revealed that when she was younger, the work of Stevie Wonder, Grace Jones, Whitney Houston and even Madonna greatly inspired her budding artistry. As such, she has pid tribute to each of those icons with art pieces around her lavish home in the heart of New York City.
Additionally, Keys also spoke about the darker times of her life and how she has emerged stronger, more focused and thankful for everything that she has achieved thus far. Watch her entire spot on ‘Person to Person’ below;

“14 Grammys, 35 Million sold and her latest hit “Girl On Fire” is on everyone’s playlist” Hmm. What type of award is that? Best in iPod Shuffle
She’s actually sold 65 Million. 35 Million Albums, 30 Singles.
She is such a warm and real person and she has been promoting the heck out of that CD. I hope it does well for her.
