Nicki Minaj Plans New Album For 2013

Written by Trent | Filed under Nicki Minaj
    Nicki Minaj Tim Westwood TheLavaLizard

Nicki Minaj appears on Tim Westwood TV.

Nicki Minaj really can’t take a hint. Despite the general public showing very little interest in her ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ album or any of the singles that she released during the last few months., the unwise Pop star has started preparing a new album to hit stores in 2013.

Speaking with her fans and her hype man on Tim Westwood TV, Minaj confirmed reports that she is planning to release a studio album in 2013. Minaj has even collected a range of tracks over which she will grunt random words and sounds similar to the work she did on ‘Roman Reloaded’.

However, those of you eager to hear Minaj’s next album will have to wait a bit long for her to share the exact release date of the set because that is the one topic that she refused to discuss. Well, that and the fact that ‘Roman Reloaded’ has only sold 660K copies in the US since being released on April 3rd.

    ———————————————————————————————

Hopefully, Minaj will wait until late 2013 for the release of this new album because the demand for her music is almost nonexistent at this point. She needs to give her fans the time to miss her and use that break to focus her artistry instead of issuing another random collection of Dance/Pop songs and weak attempts at being a street rapper.

Minaj clearly doesn’t understand her target audience and that is why she has been struggling to sell records. If she would simply pick a niche and master her craft instead of trying to be both Ke$ha and Lil Kim at the same time then she just might score a hit.

    Thoughts?

the thing is, trying to be ke$ha and kim at the same time feeds her ego the most – she is breaking “female rap” records with pop songs. her achievements only look impressive because it says “female rapper”, when you compare them to her pop contemporaries e.g lady gaga, rihanna they are nothing to brag about.

I wouldn’t be so sure. There are certain accomplishments as an artist that many pop girls are struggling to achieve and that is with WAY more radio presence. But I get it, like Britney, Katy, Rihanna etc. people want to downplay their accomplishments to make themselves feel better

I just don’t get why people are still using the Kim thing. That is so 2007-2010. I mean if people said Gaga and Kesha but even then she hasn’t done that gaga ish thing since early this year. She’s has toned it down. The kesha/flo rida thing is funny, though.

she is so 2010! her pop songs are mindless and her “rap” songs sound too forced and contrived. she is only a female rapper when it suits her. Sorry Nicki but I think people are more excited for Azealia Banks debut in 2013 rather than another one of your tired Pink Friday series.

How so? i mean, how are people showing interest in Azealia. I don’t see her buzz nearly as strong as it was earlier this year and she has put out a couple of videos. I think the Azealia/Kim thing backfired a little bit.

Honestly an artist like her cannot take a break because she has very little talent, and she’s built on pure hype. I don’t blame her for striking while the iron is hot, even though it has showed signs of cooling. I do wish her luck though.

Don’t confuse her with Rihanna, though. That has been proven. But in reality, youshould know being an xtina fan and proud of it LOL. that ANY artist taking a break past 6-9 months is a bad move. The reason why people like Rihanna, Britney, Beyonce, etc. are where they are is because they keep themselves in the spotlight doing one thing or another. Even Madonna and Mariah carey consistently put out new material almost every year. Madonna’s famous words: If you are not overexposed you are doing something wrong. It’s just worse nowadays because people expect more and connect more so it really seems hard to just do away with that. I would suggest artists take no more than 3-6 months off (which is the equivalent of two seasons of no music) before returning back to the scene.

Nothing against Nicki, but how come nobody tells Rihanna she needs to give her fans time to miss her and we all know about her and her fast album releases. When Rihanna does it, its yay new music. If nicki breathes wrong, everyone and everybody comes at her. lol And I am not even a Nicki fan foreal, I just feel bad for her because she constantly got people coming at her from all venues all because of this American Idol fight. I mean come on people, she has been picked, I dont agree with it either, but I am over it. I cant change it. I think people are just being mean for her for no reason at all. Not saying you are trent with this post, I just felt I needed to say this.lol

Because Nicki is at the top. Rihanna may have alot of #1s but she is not at the top…there’s adele, gaga, katy etc. Nicki is the easiest target as the other gurls are struggling to get out or come back. Nicki decided not to be what the GP wanted her to be so there is going to be flack.

I think the difference is that people complained about Rihanna’s yearly music and that it is generic and blah blah blah but then they get over it. With chris people make a statement and get over it. With Nicki, who has taken a longer break than both of them it will constantly be harped on. I’m certain she will release her next record November 2013 which means at least 3-6 months off from single releases and videos. That’s a good amount of time to be away.

Because Nicki has a funky attitude and is not well-liked outside of her fans and industry heads who are getting paid.

A woman can be a successful mogul like Beyonce, Queen Latifah, Oprah Winfrey and not be mean, bossy and unkind.

I just don’t like her and I don’t respect the way she handles business, regardless of how much money she is making.

People want her to be over so bad yet they can’t help but comment on her. Usually when someone’s 15 minutes are up they are not performing sold out arena tours, not winning awards, not even attending award shows, not selling worldwide and are nowhere near the top 10 highest selling songs, top 15 highest selling albums. Think Xtina, Jessica Simpson, 50 cent. But yes, Nicki has changed alot. I wouldn’t expect her to stay the same…that would be limiting and boring.

FACT …….. XTINA & 50 sold a lot more than Nicki when they were on their 2nd & 3rd CDs

BTW …. Xtina makes over 15 million yrly on The Voice…

I promise u Nicki Minaj is not making that much for Idol even tho Idol has MORE viewers than The Voice… That is b/c Xtina is the bigger star.

female rappers are making their way back on the scene. She screwed up so bad with that FLOP second album that she’s lost. Her #1 problem (besides no hit records) is Nicki doesn’t know who the fuck she is. Kim said it best, “these bitches are Jane Doe. NO Identity” The hype is soooooo over with clone Nicki but Universal & Gay Money will milk her until they are finish using her. She’s been on the decline for awhile now. Ppl are sick of her nasty attitude, lies, gimmicks & her weekly publicity stunts. It’s a wrap because she has lost so many fans & she was trying her best to win over the “white audieunce” but they don’t want her either

Who’s making their way back on the scene? Kim is still struggling. Eve put out music this summer and it came and went. Missy (who i love) put out two songs that came and went. The new rappers are struggling to make a dent. They are not nipping at her heals. So you claim she has no hit records, ha??? Good one. I don’t think the hype is over with Pepsi, Adidas, fragrance commercials and E specials and being a constant winner and mainstay at award shows. Also selling out arena tours as a HEADLINER. I just think thatNicki haters want it to be over. If anything the quick rise of her new single freedom is showing that people hated the starships Nicki and want her to go back to her hip hop style more. I think Nicki is finally listening and it seems to be having a better effect. She hasn’t screwed up but she has compromised a core audience. She can easily get some, not all, back by getting back to her essence which she is doing.

A lot of ppl have said that Nicki would have never survived in the 90′s when the “Golden Era of female hip hop” was alive & kicking. Damn straight because back then you had to original, have great lyrics with substance & most importantly be creative, not a laughable gimmick.
She’s trying to prove something so bad in the industry & she’s failing. She will NEVER get support from the other female rappers.

Next year = new FLOP album

I’m not so sure all of the artist of the 90s provided substance and didn’t use gimmicks. I mean there are people known for writing lyrics about money, guns and giving deep throat. How poetic? She has received support from other female rappers, though. I mean you can name call all you want but Nicki is not going anywhere. She created a brand and a fanbase. It’s like the britney, Rihanna backlash over and over again. I guess after a few more of these people will realize not to waste their time salivating at the thought of her 15 minutes being up. LOL.

Real talent does not exist in copy cats. Her time is up. Her act is old, and her outfits are always costumes, the fashion word does NOT endorse her and she lies about what she’s doing for black women. Even more so now I notice she uses the “Poor lil picked on black girl” crutch and claims to have “opened doors” for women in hop hop. No one likes her but kids and weirdos.

Because Nicki has made herself into a target and people (especially internet thugs behind computers) want to use their aggressions on life on her. Rihanna caught backlash worse a few years back and now people just come to expect it. I think people realize the industry is different and MOST ppl can’t stay too far away from the spotlight. I mean look what happened to Christina A…took too long and her identity is unknown. Nicki has taken longer breaks than Rihanna so it’s obvious it’s not about the time between albums…that is just an excuse.

Another Nicki post full of Trent’s lies…Seriously Trent, it is very transparent that because Nicki came for Mariah u can’t stand anything the girl does anymore. So let’s deal with the biggest lie in this post. The deman for her music is almost non-existent. Really? Maybe u should check the iTunes chart. Va Va Voom & Freedom are climbing up the charts (currently in the top 40) despite no promo for either of them. Only 1 video for VVV. Now if u want to talk facts sir, we can talk about how Mariah did everything to promote Trimuphant, but that song did a horrible belly FLOP on the charts. These are facts. Learn to report them.

Is it not true Mariah only performed ONCE for Triumphant?
Is it not true that Va va voom is #69 on BB 100? I wasn’t aware #69 was such a success.
Is it not that also true that The Boys isn’t on iTunes or billboards Hot 100? Is it not true that other than Pound the alarm and Va va voom, she has no singles on Hot 100? These are all true. Next time you think you can insult my intelligence, please be armed with receipts from Billboards, Nelson Soudscan, etc to back it up. Is it also not true that she is doing a 3 episode special with E!? I guess I am failing to see your point. Maybe you should learn to pay close attention to fact, instead of coming to this site and moaning about Trent’s unfair criticisms. This is his blog and he can do whatever the fuck he wants to and if you don’t like it feel free to jump ship and leave or be here to endure it.

DC3, you are right. Nikci, the fact that you dedicate your post name to shade another artist speaks volumes about you. Va va voom is rising on the charts. It is gaining well on radio and on itunes. Freedom made it all the way to top 20 on itunes just based on the song. There is no video and there is no performance promoting it for another week or so so both songs are doing well. Now the boys was a flop. Point. Blank. Period. It didn’t even chart. And the fact that the song va va voom is 69 is a good think because it was just released a few weeks ago to radio and it rose almost 20 spots from last week. Get your facts straight and see the bigger picture. Freedom should debut based on sales alone this week. If you are going to use Billboard…use it correctly and talk about how the song is gaining on radio (the greatest gainer on top 40) and how it shot from the 80s to the 60s in one week. I bet va va voom will enter top 40 next week as the itunes positions is around the 30s where it was in the 60s and 70s last week. Don’t post half-facts to make it seem bad.Unless it is a first single that is promoted most songs on hot 100 chart low and then take 1-2 months to make it into the top 10 if it reaches that point.

True. These haters don’t like to tell facts or full facts. Let them hate. Correct them when they are wrong and laugh at the fact that their negativity is not going to change Nicki’s career. Va va voom was the greatest gainer on top 40 last week and consistently gains on itunes (just based off of video and song…no performance). Freedom without video or performance made it to #19 just based off of love. Once it gets performed at the AMAs anda video is released it will shoot right up like Girl on fire did after the VMAs…went all the way to top 10. These internet thugs stay on Nicki’s nutzack which is why they are the first to post. Now, I have nothingwrongwith them stating their opinions…just don’t understand why you would dedicated time and energy to being hateful. There are artist I don’t like and I don’t waste my time writing about them but Nicki got these gurls minds so they can’t help themselves. Aww, someone is hurt. Don’t be, #69 is not a hot shot baby, especially not for a pop star. “NO promo” lol the E! show wasn’t promo then, huh? Idiot. I don’t like Nicki because she is a 30 years old pop star that “sings” about Starships and other unrelated auto-tunes bullshit that a teenager would write and sing, forgive me for not buckling down to bullshit. I only listen to quality music and Garbaj is not that. “What intelligence?” You are the most dense, dumb-wit person that I have ever encountered, I suppose you thought you were being clever. #thestruggle
I just LOVE how all of you just throw “hater” when someone doesn’t agree with your faves lol. Nicki is a copycat Lil’Kim, Lady Gaga, Kesha wanna be that sings about immature things a GROWN WOMAN her age should not be. Sis, you will have to deal with this somehow. :D

U clearly don’t know anything about how the Billboard charts work. #69 from #98 with only a video. This, u twit, means that it will keep rising. I knoe it’s eating u alive. :) And I wouldn’t be so quick to frown on a #69 placement on a chart. Where is Triumphant again? Oh ok. Matter of fact, where are any of MC’s songs on the charts. That’s right, non-existent. Meanwhile Nicki has VVV, Beauty and a Beat, & Girl On Fire. Who is winning again? Don’t even bother bringing up Mariah’s old stats. We’re about CURRENT. Mariah’s time has come and gone. DEAL WITH IT. And what makes u a hater, is that u clearly know all of Nicki’s stats, yet ur name is Nicki Garbaj. See I don’t spend time researching stats on people I don’t like. That’s what makes u a hater. Do u get it now dumbass?

Lol, she is a “mega pop star” so rising from #98 to #69 is a leap from disaster to a flop. The video along with her series on E! are promotion tails. I already knew you were an inadequate human-being so don’t feel the need to prove yourself further as an inane individual. Lol, again beating a dead horse. Triumphant flopped (like anyone is putting up an argument about this) and is #11 on the dance charts….actually its the only song that Mariah has released since 2010 so why would any of her other songs be on the charts? #Dumb-moment
Actually its almost time for Christmas so her song “All I want for Christmas”, “Oh Santa!”, etc will be on the charts soon. Earlier you made an argument that its unfair to compare the accomplishments of someone who has been in the biz for 22+ years to someone who has been in the biz for 4 years, yet you want to compare their chart performances? Who does this fit in your logic? I don’t see you asking for Madonna’s single on the charts or Prince’s or Whitney’s or Celine’s or Brandy’s or Monica’s and so forth.

You all are talk (repetitive, reductive talk) and no proof. I am clearly no hater, again if I was I would bash her personal life. You are a broken record and you keep repeating yourself over and over.

It is so fun dragging your ass. The most reductive person on this post for sure. Come back with something original, can you do that? Probably not.

Something is clearly wrong up there Nikci Garbaj. You can a gain from 98-69 a flop. It was the biggest gain that week on the charts. The song was release to radio a few weeks ago and is almost top 30 on itunes and top 20 on top 40 radio in its third week. I don’t get what you don’t understand but i guess Nicki haters don’t know how to use logic. The song has just started and will most likely peak in Jan/Feb…my guess top 10. I mean do you shade beyonce’s dance for you for currrently charting at 79…she is a mega pop star??? Why do you haters make it so easy to get clocked? Mariah not charting since 2010 is not an excuse for Triumphant not charting. The song was just not that great. Just like Nicki’s the boys…it didn’t chart because it wasn’t good. I don’t see how you call Billboard and Top 40 and Itunes not proof, though. the idea is that if you want to talk about flops then there are clear examples of it out there. I mean Madonna with top 10 earlier this year…with the aid of Nicki and M.I.A. You don’t drag anyone. You offer no valid receipts and call the biggest leap on the charts of a certain weak a flop. It is actually easier clocking you because you don’t back your statements up with anything substantive or valid. I don’t get how Nicki haters want to have their cake and eat it too. They compare her to Kim who has been in the business for almost 20 years but then don’t like it when ppl clearly point out examples of people that are really flopping. Nicki haters make it so easy…but at least Trent has a #1 topic with this back and forth. It would be more fun if the haters could provide proper receipts though.

Hmmm…I guess when beyonce releases 7/8 videos for ’4′ it was ok. lol. She can release many videos if her record company allows her. She is making enough money globally so that they can afford video unlike most rap artist that can only afford 2-3 videos. what does that tell people using logic??? You can call it a flop album if you want. It still is ranked top 15 in the best selling albums of 2012 and also #1 selling album in 2012 from a rapper with Drake closely behind. I don’t see her using the fake beef to sell. She didn’t exactly put out a full page post in a newspaper or talk with barbra walters to gain sympathy. Why are people saying she sold 16,000 perfumes in a week? Where are the receipts outside of inaccurate sources. Her fragrance shows on numerous sites as a top seller online. It seems like you want her to fail to get gratification but she is not failing and if she is what person is succeeding. What person is making over $40M in a year, selling out arena tours and branding herself like she is. I don’t get why haters cling on to fake facts. Do you all convince yourselves that that means she is over and done with. Convince yourself of that when she can get an album certified, a song to chart, a sold out concert, no awards, no invitation to the award ceremonies etc. At least provide an example of who is winning if she is losing?

true. The good thing is that he is so pressed about Nicki that he always post on her so fans can see what is going on next but then he writes his subjective posts that destroys his credibility. Meanwhile obvious targets like Christina and Mariah he tip toes around. This site won’t ever reach higher levels the way he is doing it so I just take it as new information on Riri and Nicki and let his subjective ways be the death of him.

So, when beyonce releases 7/8 singles and does only a 3rd of sales of her last album winning no grammy’s then is that acceptable when there are other artist in her field releasing half the amount of singles selling twice as much. See, there is where i see fair game because other people are proving to do less and sell more. you don’t have another artist in her area doing less but selling more so your point is not valid.

The blog is bias when talking about particular artist. People have a right too their own opinion. Telling someone to get off my page is not professional. Necole Bitchie nor Jawn Murray doesn’t act like this at all. This blog page is really for younger people who enjoy disrespecting each others opinions. Some people talk about gimmicks, you can say the same for this blog which I am seeing a pattern Trent. You talk about Beyonce having her killer bees fans that attack, but you have yours as well sir. People who talk against your blogs are often attack by your fans.

It’s funny because he really goes in on Nicki and doesn’t even provide facts. If he were to say that she hasn’t sold nearly as much as her debut (album wise in the US) then yes. But he paints the picture as if she is flopping. Her flopping is still ranking her top 10/15 on certain year end charts.THat is a lot of flop artists then. I think he sees her as an easy target and add on to that Nicki’s beef with Mariah he just doesn’t know what to do with himself. If Mariah wasn’t really flopping right now then I’m sure he’d love throwing in her face that a 20+ year career diva is outselling her but since he can’t he just makes jab. To be honest, most people should expect SOME jabs but let them be accurate. Talking about her dance/pop when she clearly is moving back to her hip hop roots again just makes him sound informed. The only thing is that he posts so many stories about her that he doesn’t have an excuse to no by now that she is getting away from the dance/pop and going back to hip hop again.

The only thing that makes me lose respect for trent is that he is rather make snarky comments than provide facts. He will not hesitate to post a topic about her but if he kept track he would realize that her new work is all rap…not dance/pop. It just seems like Trent wants to shade her for the sake of doing it. Also, he considers Nicki struggling because her album hasn’t sold as high as her debut. Even though she ranks above all rappers this year with her almost 700k selling album. She even sold more than drake this year (but that is mainly because his first month went to 2011 sales). Either way, since Wayne pushed his album back again…Nicki will rank top 15 for overall selling albums this year, #1 rapper with Drake close behind, and top 5 for top selling song. Also, her worldwide sales have increased although her US sales have declined. She made a choice that will benefit her brand not her US sales. Plus, it is very clear that she will release at the end of 2013 which gives her somewhat of a break. She will release a couple of singles at the beginning of the year and then in the summer and fall we will have a break and then she will do it again. I’m sure she has learned from the mistakes of the past year why she put out a song like Freedom vs Starships 3.0.

But as for Minaj i think someone needs to give her a lil reality check because she has been way too cocky. She is still a new artist to the public’s eye and she hasn’t accomplished anything yet that can give her a pass for her cockiness. He got her sales incorrect and said she is going in the dance pop direction when the whole point of her re-release is to go in the opposite direction. Lastly, he keeps shading her sales as if she isn’t ranked top 10 single sales wise and top 15 album sales wise and the #1 rapper…how does that equal facts. It’s shady comments not facts. Again, notice when his faves are flopping (meaning unable to book shows, not even charting on the hot 100 when known for their #1s or charting low on hot 100 when they used to chart higher) he doesn’t bring it up. Nicki haters need to get some education because a fact can be proven not opinions stated as fact which is how you all operate. When someone corrects you, then you get upset and can’t really retialiate with anything better so you thumbs down…quiver. LOL.

ML, we’re in a generation where people don’t know the true definition of real, good music. Obviously you’re one of those people. But that’s why Ms. Nicki is “winning” and Mariah, Christina, etc. aren’t doing as well. That still doesn’t take away from the millions of albums they’ve sold compared to Nicki’s mediocre album sales. You would think with all the hype her fans like are giving her, she would have tons of #1 singles and millions of albums sold. I see you like to use the term “hater” often but let’s clarify one thing, nobody is “hating” on Nicki. When you come in the game as a female rapper, people know you can rap, but you insist on putting out wack ass pop songs with raps that a 8 year old can write just to say you have x amount of top 10 singles, people start to question what exactly is the hype about? Face it, the facts you think you’re providing isn’t even the point that Trent is trying to make. He’s saying why does this woman continue to put out material when she can’t even get the shit she has out to go platinum and why her so called stans can go to her sold out shows but can’t even go buy her album?

Sweetie real good music is not a true definition. That is purely subjective. Christina, IMO, is not putting out real good musics. The music critics seem to agree as does the general public. So that is not an excuse. Um, many people are hating. I don’t use the term hater for people that say they don’t like her…the ones that call her a flop and say all of these things that statistically are not accurate are the ppl I am referring to. When people bash the boys, that is not hate. I don’t like that song either. I’m not a hater…I won’t dedicate my energy to bashing it…I will just say I don’t like it. It’s not facts that i think I am providing. These are supported by billboard, itunes, soundscan and boxscore. We can go on and on about why this album didn’t sell more. Why Rihanna can only go platinum with the biggest hits on radio? Why Beyonce only sold 1/3 of the albums for her last record? Why Britney sold 14x platinum at her height but barely went platinum in her last record? Why gaga sold 1/2 of her last record with Born this way? Why female rappers of the past can’t go gold much less platinum? This could go on forever, the bottom line is that she has sold records even if not as close as her prior effort and is selling out concerts and is doing better on a global front this go round. For the record, RIAA certified the album platinum. Platinum is based on 1M shipments not 1M sales. Yet, another fact given and their will be ppl that claim it is not fact. LOL.

Most people are calling it like they see it, the hype around Nicki Minaj is ridiculous yet she can’t even platinum so in people’s eyes, she is a flop. You can’t compare those artist to Nicki Minaj because those are artist who have been in the game for over 10 years and let you tell it, are flops always but are still out-selling more than this global phenomenon Nicki Minaj. It’s been established that Rihanna is a singles artist. Beyonce sold less because while everyone conformed to the dance craze, she didn’t. 4 was a risk album for Beyonce because it wasn’t radio friendly but she still managed to go platinum. As for Mariah Carey, when you’ve sold over 200 million albums worldwide and 18 #1 hits, what is one flop album or single? And female rappers can’t go platinum? Missy Elliot has 6 platinum albums, 1 double platinum. Lil’ Kim 3 platinum albums, 1 double platinum album. Foxy Brown has 2 platinum albums. Eve has a double platinum album. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill went 8x platinum! Hell even Da Brat has a platinum album. Need I continue? You can talk to me about that when Nicki Minaj reaches those heights. Oh, and by the way I know that Platinum is about shipments not sales. Thank you.

The hype around Nicki was ridiculous in 2010/2011 when she was on everyone’s song and a brand new artist. Like most artist, hype dies down as new artist rise. You keep saying she isn’t platinum yet RIAA certified the album platinum. I don’t get what you don’t get. Florida is a singles artist. Rihanna just sells more singles than albums…there is a difference. Florida will not go pass gold which is why he is a singles artist. People will mainly invest in singles with Riri because they don’t like her albums as a whole.
Beyonce sold less her single Run the world flopped. I love Beyonce but could the beyonce stans stop acting like an uptempo girl anthem dance song was outside of the box. Adele was outside of the dance craze. Beyonce just made bad moves…there’s a difference. The delusion to call ’4′ a risk album. I agree on the Mariah carey part though. Girl, Female rappers are not going platinum now. Of course your stats of what they accomplished in the past are close to accurate. However, Missy, Eve and kim are struggling to release singles much less go platinum. Were you trying to make my point??? I don’t see your point of listing that I know what past rappers did accomplish…I wasn’t debating that. You need to show me that if Nicki is flopping with the #5 song of the year on radio/digital if her RR album is sitting at #12 on the year end charts currently and the #1 by a rapper with Drake close behind then who is winning… albums 12 and below are flops. Songs 5 and below are flops. If you know platinum is about shipments then I guess you know that Nicki already shipped platinum. Well that was easy.

Nicki cannot take a break because her mainstream career started late, when she was 28. She’ll be 30 this year and soon will be considered an “old” female rapper. She’s old compared to Gaga and Rihanna, even though they act more like women than Nicki, whose gimmick is to acquire a very, young fanbase.

She will be forgotten, that’s why she can’t take a break. I know for a fact Universal markets Nicki to the “kids” on purpose because they fall for all of her gimmicks. Other audieunces can’t stand her. For her to be 30 next month, it’s sad what she’s turned into. It comes from being thirsty for the industry.

my only wish for Nicki is that she brings back the rapper that slayed that “Monster” feature. where has that quality lyrical prowess gone??? what happened to her??? how did she simply lose the ability to spit fire??? she confuses me.

People started accepting her bubblegum raps. That’s what happened. She got that boost of confidence and now she knows whatever she puts out, whether it’s of substance or not, her delusional fan base is going to buy her music.

If this were true then all of her singles would go top 10 and they don’t. If that were true she wouldn’t be putting out a rerelease with 7 new songs that are rap not pop. She had this planned from the beginning. Her lyric in hov lane references the reup. It’s funny that you say her fan base will buy whatever but then point out that she hasn’t sold 1M albums with those same fans. Which one is it? Hypocrit, much.

What it’s really come down to in this day & age, speaking in reference to Trent & any other subject or matter (be it a liked celebrity or a stance on ethics etc.) If you basically have an opinion differing with the majority or a differing opinion in general, you’re labeled as a hater. I solemnly say there’s always going to be a difference between a “hater” & someone of whom sees things differently than you do. And arguments that go on here & all over the internet prove that statement correct all the time. For the record & psychologically speaking, if you speak ill of something/someone that another favors if they’re passionate about said subject they’re quick to defend but if the shoe is on the other foot (e.g. someone/something else they may like or feel indifferent towards) they’ll be less likely to do so. Human behavior is a very interesting thing. But I digress, if you don’t believe me, find something that someone you know is fond of in a certain light & indifferent to on another hand. Talk down about both & see which they’re more likely to defend. Once again, beside the point. I conclude with Trent has his own perception of things & we each on this website as well. Logically speaking if you don’t like what someone has to say, would you continue to listen to them? If you don’t like what Trent has to say, why do you continue to visit this website? It makes perfect sense to not acknowledge something at all if you don’t like it. Now I’m not defending his actions (because there are blogs that probably are worse than this) but the fact of the matter is at the end of the day this is HIS website [A BLOG] and he is going to word things the way he sees fit. Now if you don’t like that fact, stop coming to this particular website. You want someone speaking of something in a professional/appealing light, go to a company finanaced or fan run blog. Problem solved & squared away. But on the other hand if coming this website & seeing him speak non-appeasingly about whomever then debating about said person(s) fills your cup of tea then to each its own, I always say….

Nicki’s gimmicks, and crazy outfits helped her stand out. But as an artist, she just doesn’t get it. She isn’t bridging the gap between pop and hiphop. She is either one or the other. It’s also crap about this she’s doing this for women stuff. Really, with that kinda music nah…. As for Mariah, Christina and Beyonce, Nicki isn’t anywhere on their level. Beyonce released alot of videos but still managed to get a triple platinum album. Meanwhile Nicki can’t even sale a million copies. Her attititude stanks and she has a nasty disposition. MARIAH IS WAY OUT OF NICKI’S LEAGUE. Nicki is on her second album and it is already underperforming. Sit down with all of the down.

If Nicki didn’t Re-up Roman Reloaded, it would not have reached $1m US sales until end 2014 with current sales at less than $3k a week. Her sophomore sales for someone who is at their peak is weak.

When Nicki can “find her own shoes to fill” then maybe she can get more ppl to like her besides her 5yr old kindergarden fans. All these alleged numbers ppl are claiming she’s doing is nothing but the label paying the media to say that shit about her.

That’s easy. Who says she was passive aggressive to Nicki back in 2010 when she wasn’t big. Nicki was referring to what went on in Idol only. What don’t people understand.

Not really. She had already done a few videos that were bigger hits. Their collab peaked at #100 on the charts. Young money gave her hype. She had a #2 song with bedrock and another song that charted higher than #100 with roger that. Luda’s song after MImi’s song gave her more hype too.

I’m not saying Mimi gave her the most hype, or gave her a bigger hit. I’m just saying that Mariah chose to work with Nicki- a relative newcomer- when she could have worked with established artists.

What happen to the “Monster,” “I’m the Best,” “Moment 4 Life,” “Dear Old Nicki,” “Save Me,” and “Your Love” Nicki Minaj that I loved?

Nicki still does not get it. It was her Hip-Hop fans that bought her debut album, not the Pop fans.

Ever since “Super Bass” (one of her worst songs) became a huge hit, Nicki has been on a downward creative spiral. She just keep releasing these wack Pop songs, hoping to recreate the annoyance known as “Super Bass.”

“Dear old Nicki… please call back…”
