T-Boz Blasts Nicki Minaj For ‘American Idol’ Gig

When Nicki Minaj was first announced as a judge on ‘American Idol’, the news puzzled people across the globe who tune in to watch the show. Now, TLC member T-Boz has stepped forward to share her thoughts about her younger counterparts role on the panel and she is definitely not happy about it.
“How the hell is she gon’ tell me what I should be doing when her azz can’t even sing?” T-Boz quipped while chatting with This Is Max about the Minaj’s post on ‘Idol’. The rest of her rant was so vicious that it even made me blush so read the rest of it and watch the interview for yourself below:
“Just because you’re on TV gyrating and boning and sucking penises, it’s not talent, honey. Maybe in the porn industry, but over here, we entertain. I don’t respect half [of] the people I’ve seen lately.
How the hell is she gon’ tell me what I should be doing when her azz can’t even sing. Why is she there? And then…now they’ve got rappers that don’t even sing judging? So, this is totally based off of popularity I guess. I mean, to each their own. Get your money, honey. All I’m saying is, I will never watch [your] shows again.”
Perhaps T-Boz simply blasted Minaj to draw attention to herself, thus increasing interest in her ‘Red Planet’ collaboration with Little Mix and TLC’s plans for a new album. Either way, she certainly gave an honest answer and simply stated what we were all thinking. Get your money, honey!

Yes I own all of TLC’s albums. I know her voice. That raspy 1 note she always sang. Chilli was the actual vocalist of the group. So for Boz to say anything about anyone’s voice is beyond preposterous.

No, Randy can’t sing but he’s a brilliant guitarist and has been in the music industry for 30 years and has worked with legends from Aretha and Mariah to Bob Dylan and Carlos Santana…Nicki can’t sing AND she’s new in the game. she has no business judging the artistry of others!!! I would give her this job in 30 years because even though she still wouldn’t be able to sing (even 30 years of work can’t create something she’ll never have) she’d have been in the industry for so long that she’ll be a competent, qualified judge. But in 2012? NO. She needs to have a seat, sure, just not at that judging table.

for example In the french version of American Idol we had Manu Katché as a judge and he couldn’t sing either BUT he was a musician (a v talented one) so yeah that’s where lays the difference : a musician has got more ability to judge a singer than that clown. i totally agree with your comment,
