Adele has only been touring small venues in the UK but her ’21′ album has accumulated a massive response. In fact, after 35 weeks on the UK Albums Chart, the LP is still ranked in the top 5.
’21′ has now logged 35 weeks in the top 5 of the lineup. With this tremendous feat as well as 12 weeks at #1, the album also nabbed a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the only album in UK history to selling 3 million copies in a single calendar year.
Further down the list, David Guetta’s ‘Nothing but the Beat’ slipped one spot to #8 while Adele’s ’19′ continued to slide by dropping to #10. However, Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black’ and Rihanna’s ‘Loud’ experienced minor resurgences by rebounding to #12 and #14, respectively.
Meanwhile, on the Official UK Singles Chart, Jason Derulo scored a massive #4 debut with ‘It Girl’ while David Guetta and Usher’s ‘Without You’ jumped from #31 to #19. Conversely, Leona Lewis’ ‘Collide’ cascaded 8 spots from #10 to #18.
