Shortly after Chris Brown opened the 2013 BET Awards with his Nicki Minaj-assisted set, Robin Thicke was up next with a hit song of his own. Joined by T.I. and Pharrell, the crooner belted a rousing rendition of his global multiformat smash, “Blurred Lines”.
The 2013 BET Awards are being held this evening at the Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles and dozens of the music superstars are in attendance. From Chris Brown to Sevyn Streeter and Mya, the entertainers have turned out in their numbers to celebrate a year of achievements in Urban music.
The dust has settled on the biggest rumble on the US charts of the year to date and the final results are quite surprising. Kanye West, J. Cole and Kelly Rowland all faced off on the Billboard 200 with their latest releases and although West emerged as the winner, his was almost beaten by Cole.
Pharrell contributed two tracks to Kelly Rowland’s Talk a Good Game but there is another new song that didn’t quite make the cut. Luckily, “Feet to the Fire” has been released via Target’s special deluxe edition of the album and it features the man himself as a guest performer.
What better way is there to celebrate success than with a party? With his hit single “Blurred Lines” now resting atop the Billboard Hot 100, Robin Thicke was more than happy to perform it alongside his collaborator/hype man, Pharrell, on Jimmy Kimmel Live and enjoy some late night fun.
