Trey Songz stopped thinking about himself just long enough to perform at his ‘Angels with Heart’ benefit concert last evening. Hosted at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, the show featured the R&B crooner performing several of his biggest including ‘Can’t Be Friends’ and ‘Love Faces’.
The ‘Michael Forever Tribute Concert’ was held today at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales and several of entertainment brightest young stars hit the stage to salute the King of Pop. In addition to Christina Aguilera, who was clearly inspired by Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ video, Ne-Yo, Alexandra Burke and several others celebrated the icon’s life.
Following her highly publicised appearance at the Givenchy Ready to Wear Spring / Summer 2012 show, Ciara attended the event’s after party at L’Arc. The festivities attracted several other artists who were there for Paris Fashion Week, including Ne-Yo, Jennifer Hudson and Kanye West.
Ashanti demonstrated her charitable personality when she attended the Boys & Girls Clubs of America ‘Great Futures Start Here’ campaign launch at The National Press Club in Washington, DC today. The singer, who is preparing a career comeback, filmed a PSA for the programme alongside Jennifer Lopez and Ne-Y0 in June.
When Ne-Yo said that we will get the chance to hear his “imperfect” side on his upcoming mixtape he wasn’t joking. The singer/songwriter has put his own spin on Kelly Rowland’s ‘Motivation’ in a remix called ‘She Uses Me (Masturbation)’.
It looks like Ne-Yo is really following Chris Brown’s lead with his new mixtape. Fulfilling his promise to try something new with the project, the singer/songwriter tries his hand at rapping on a remix of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ‘Otis’.
Chris Brown isn’t the only R&B artist planning to release a mixtape this year. Ne-Yo has revealed that he plans to drop an EP in the coming months before his next album.
