Just when Kelly Rowland thought it was safe to release an album. While managing to outsell Beyonce’s ’4′ LP on this week’s Billboard 200, the singer’s ‘Here I Am‘ has missed the top spot and was outdone by the ever-present force that is Adele’s ’21′.
’21′ sold 83k this week and claims the #2 spot on with a 7% increase in sales. The album has thus far sold 2.83 million in the US and was recently certified triple platinum by the RIAA.
As earlier reported, Rowland’s ‘Here I Am’ sold just under 77k at #3, giving her the lowest first week sales of her career to date. On the bright side, it managed to sell more than Beyonce’s ’4′ which sold 41k at #6 in its fifth week on the tally.

Not getting the Beyonce shade, how long will it take Kelly to get to the sales of “4″ without any promotion?!

@BEYDAFLOP, i think u must’ve read that wrong. it said that she sold more than Bey THIS week, but altogether Kelly only sold 77k and Bey has sold 593k and 1mill WW.
It’s also worth noting “Motivation” has held onto its new peak position of #17 for a second week on the Hot 100
Adele is rolling strong!
I don’t anyone can be Adele at this point but I think Kelly is still doing to be 3 on the billboard200 hip hop and R&B only after a week.
smh @ you trying to compare Kelly’s 1st week sales to Beyonce’s 5th week, more then likely Kelly will drop below Beyonce on next week’s chart (Kelly’s album dropped below Beyonce’s album on iTunes)
and Best Thing I Never Had has out-peaked Kelly’s Motivation on the Hot 100…BTINH is #16
*runs over to billboard* Why in the hell do you have ’4′ @ #6 when BB has it @ #5?
Katy continues to slay
Teenage dream -1.67mil, born this way 1.65mil, nearly a years sales difference, if only Katy could slay with albums as well tut tut
[...] I Am’ enters at #7 with 78k units sold and barely 1k additional units added to her 77k US total. Undoubtedly, this slow reception is a result of the album not being given a full international [...]
Lol I knew Kelly’s album would flop. 77k debut, Beyonce had 310,000 debut with low promotion in the US. Please dont kill me lol.
