Hot Pic: Mariah Carey & Jermaine Dupri Get To Work

Following the release fo the first shot of Mariah Carey and Jermaine Dupri’s studio reunion, another shot of the pair has surfaced. Carey, who has been working to recover her body as well as her voice, is reportedly on a mission to revive R&B music.
It is very exciting to see Carey and Dupri in the studio again. He is one of the few producers who understand the complexities and sheer magnitude of her voice. The-Dream is talented but his arrangements are more suited to singers who have simpler voices, such as Ciara and even Beyonce, and it was obvious that Carey was restraining herself to complement his music.
Of course, the producer with whom many are eager to see Carey collaborate is Marc Shaiman. Although he primarily composes material for Broadway, he did magnificent work on her ‘Merry Christmas II You’ LP. Thus, it would be interesting to see what Shaiman would do with a mainstream studio release.

Jermaine Dupri tweeted last year after Xtina’s performance at the ama’s that Xtina is 1 of the few singer’s who sounds amazing live and even better than a recoding. I think he should make Mimi & Xtina duet. Sips tea k bye

Yes Trent!! We want a Mimi-Shaiman collaboration!! I loved what he did on her MCIIY and would be awesome to hear something different coming from this man. Who needs Affanasieff if she has the chance to work with Marc again? He certainly delivered and made sing Mariah’s off for sure!
How about they all need to stay away from the Nightmare. lol! It’s good Mariah is making a return. Her last album.
Jermaine Dupri has not had a hit in almost 7 years. The jig is up with him. He may challenge Mariah vocally, but his productions have not evolved. If Mariah thinks she can come back with “We Belong Together” part 45 and get a hit, she’s surely mistaken.

I’d like to say that I can’t wait but I actually can ! I hope JD & MC surprise us… There was a time when I also thought Xtina could/should sing with Mariah Carey 1 day but her tendancy to scream all the time would easily ruin everything, so… no, thank you.
I think u need to stop hatin on other artist because “Queen Mariah” is tryin to make another “COMEBACK ” like Jason Voorhees, the sequel is never good as the first. She is no longer revelant. How many times do we have to her sing over some hip hop beat from the 80′s w/ Jermaine Dupri. When in need of a comeback call J.D. – Didn’t work out for Janet. Go find Walter Afansieff and make some real songs.
I would love to see Mariah working with Marc Shaiman and Affanasieff(although the likely hood of working with Affanasieff is unlikely) they all make great music. …..and I’m in love with her Tony Bennent duet!!

Oh shut up Mariah isn’t Irrelevant every career has slow periods and higer paced ones she can still sing beautifully. taking time off to have children is different than being irrelevant. Her & JD have been partners in crime for 16 years since AlwaysBe My Baby though I’d love to see her work with Mark Shaiman again and maybe finally record with Stevie Wonder

i think if given a chance again if mimi and Affanasieff on collaboration is no longer exciting because the generation before are classic while now, they need to have rnb songs..
