Hot Pic: Ciara Teases With First Studio Pic

Suspicion regarding how soon Ciara would release a followup to her commercially disastrous ‘Basic Instinct’ came to a sudden halt earlier this year after she became entangled in a public feud with her former label, Jive Records. However, anticipation for the project has erupted once again following the release of this new image of the entertainer in the studio.
This latest development occurred just days after Epic Label Group head, LA Reid, taunted Ciara’s fans about her almost completing negotiations to join Epic Records. Unfortunately, there is still no information regarding if that deal has been finalised.

10/22/11 1:13 PMIf Ciara has indeed launched the recording process of her next album then that is an indication that she is either a member of Epic or she is developing material to send to other labels in hopes that they will be interested in signing her, thus giving her additional leverage to score a better deal with Epic. Either way, the prospect of new material from her is quite exciting.
Ciara is one of the best live performers of her generation and with the right material – preferably mor like ‘Love Sex Magic’ – she still has the chance to make a major impact on the charts. Besides, she has all of the qualities to be successful and all she needs is the right guidance.

She’s signed to Epic Trent. Her a&r is Shani Gonzalez who a&red Justin Biebers albums at Def Jam. Shani jumped ship to EPic with LA Reid. Epic is currently holding a writing camp in LA with top producers and songwriters for Ciara’s album. It’s the same thing LA Reid did for Rihanna’s “Loud” and Jive did for Britneys “Femme Fatale”.

I can’t wait to hear what she’s working on. Hopefully she’s working with some fresh producers and songwriters. While I liked Basic Instinct, it wasn’t as good as her previous albums. She needs to work with people that actually give at least an iota of a f*ck about her career and want her to be great.

Anywho I totally lost interest in her over the past two years. I just really don’t think she will ever make a true comeback. *shrugs*
I do wish her luck though. Having a new label doesn’t gurantee success but perhaps she can surprise us all and produce some hot material, but an overall succuessful album, I just don’t see. *shrugs* Good Luck CiCi!
