While Jason Derulo impressed the audience of ‘The X Factor (Australia)’ will his high-energy dance moves, Leona Lewis gave fans of the German version of the show a different form of excitement with her brand of vocal gymnastics. In fact, the songbird performed a cover of Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’ that left the crowd stunned.
Lewis is currently remodelling her delayed ‘Glassheart’ album in time for a March 26th 2012 release. It is unclear whether any of the previously named tracks, such as the ill-fated second single, ‘Trouble’, will make the final cut of the record’s new version.
Watch Lewis’ performance below:
Hopefully, Lewis regarded the crowd’s excitement as an indication that more songs like ‘Run’ are what people want to hear from her. Experimenting with new sounds is a trademark of a talented artist but Lewis was clearly out of her element with her dreary attempts at singing Dance music.

Leona maybe boring in real life, but she has one hell of a voice!!!
Her performance of this on UK xfactor when this song was released was a lot better.
yes its a cover, but she released this song a while back and did very well. just stating that she hasn’t just decided to sing a cover randomly, Leona needs to do more music like this, her vocals are epic on them
She needs to stick to material like this bc she shines when during these performances. She went too far to the left with that release.
I agree w/Kemp! Plus, she tried to pull a Bey and claim it was her song
That contour makeup is doing wonders for that big ol nose of hers…
LAME! SHE ALWAYS SINGS THIS SHIT LIKE THAT. I SEE NO DIFFERENCE… SURE SHE HITS EVERY NOTE BUT NO EMOTION AND SHY AS HELL AS USUAL. HER CAREER AT MIMICKING CELINE DION AND MARIAH IS OVER… AS IS HER CAREER. SO BOOORRRING, WHAT A YAWWNER STAGE PRESENCE. NEXT.
How can Trouble be “the ill-fated second single Trouble” when not a single person has heard it? Only thing we’ve had is Collide.
I’ll just say what I said elsewhere. GlassHeart wasn’t going to be a dance album. A critic who heard some of the new material said it was her best work to date, full of emotion, rage, etc and said Collide wasn’t a good representation of the album direction at all.
They delayed the album because 1) it’s too busy this time of year to release, especially when she’s not ready to compete in the X-Mas market right now and 2) they want to act like Collide didn’t exist and will move in a few more months to the real lead single and 3) she only had 10 songs for the album and my guess is the label wanted more.
I don’t think they’re going to scrap any of the planned songs (except maybe a couple for stronger tracks). It’s apparently her best work and it has alot of songs that will work on radio but not be generic.
