Little Mix have not performed on television since the ‘Top of the Pops’ Christmas special in December but they returned in a major way earlier today at the National Television Awards. Indeed, the quartet covered En Vogue’s ‘Don’t Let Go’ and managed not to sound a shabby mess while singing the challenging song.
As expected, Little Mix are hard at work on their debut album. However, their former ‘The X Factor (UK)’ rival Marcus Collins will beat them in the race to the stores when he releases his first single – a cover of The White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’ – on March 4th and his album on March 12th.

Little Mix were by no means amazing but their voices were definitely stronger than in their previous showings. Still, they need to work on their harmonies and their stage presence because they seemed utterly lost amidst the stage setup. Also, this group needs a stronger alto singer because they clearly lack that dimension to their sound.

Trent you can’t be serious lol. There’s no need to determine anything. En Vogue > Little Mix
EV sounded HORRIBLE in that performance
I absolutely did not the cover “Little Mix” did. I would agree they definitely need someone with a more alto tone but over they have no idea how to mix their harmonies. They are also lacking a fuller sound on an individual level.
Jesy is my girl! It sounds like four strong singers, singing and not perfectly harmonizing. Perri is the strongest, but sometimes strength and (richness or altos) need to be in the back when the singers are thin. And DC did it with Kelly, and SWV did it with Taj. It made their backgrounds sound so much stronger.
Little Mix needs a vocal coach now rather than later to help them along. And until they get their stage presence together, they shouldn’t be allowed to have a great set because it embarrasses them by being more attention grabbing than they are. Also, I think that they need to work on some original material because I’m tired of the covers.
As for that En Vogue performance, those harmonies were nice but the individual parts were a hot mess. You could tell by Cindy’s face in the beginning that she was not happy at all.
