Did you know that Stevie Wonder was the youngest male solo artist to score a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100?
Wonder’s ‘Fingertips (Part 2)’ landed at the summit of the chart in August 1963 when he was only 13 years of age. The song, which was recorded when the now legendary artist was 12 years old, also featured drumming by another R&B icon – Marvin Gaye.
Additionally, ‘Recorded Live: The 12 Year Old Genius’, on which ‘Fingertips’ was included, topped the Billboard 200 and made Wonder the first Motown artist to achieve that feat. Remarkably, no other male solo act at that age has topped the Billboard 200 since 1963. Justin Bieber was the only male artist to come close with his ‘My World 2.0′ album in 2010 when he was 16 years of age.

Wow, I did not know this. I knew that he was in the business for a long time but I didn’t know that he’s been in it since 12. That’s dedication and talent.
