Ashanti took a break from her hosting duties on ‘Fuse News’ to give her music career another shot with a new song entitled ‘That’s What We Do’. Featuring the King of R&B, R. Kelly, the song is slated to appear on Ashanti’s long delayed ‘Braveheart’ album.
When will Ashanti’s ‘Braveheart album be released? January 2013. When will she score a hit single from the record? Nobody has the answer to that but you can listen to ‘That’s What We Do’ below and determine if this track might be the one:
‘That’s What We Do’ follows the traditional conversation style of R&B but there are two glaring issues. Ashanti and R. Kelly’s tones clash, and the for a rare instance in history, the former’s vocal was too harsh. Basically, Ashanti’s
yellingsinging overwhelmed the music and the only part of the song that she sounded comfortable was in the background.Perhaps, Ashanti should have passed this tune over to Melanie Fiona. That way, Ashanti would have actually made money from it when it became the Urban radio hit that has eluded her for years.
