Marcus Collins’ is going full speed ahead with the plans to release his self-titled debut album on March 12th. As such, he has issued the video for the project’s lead single, ‘Seven Nation Army’, which will be available via digital retailers on March 4th.
The cover of Collins’ album was revealed at the dawn of February. Strangely, the simple artwork matches perfectly with the title of the set and the theme of his ‘Seven’ video.
If you don’t believe me then watch the ‘Seven’ visual below:
Collins received some criticism for covering ‘Seven’ – a White Stripes original tune – and this video certainly won’t help his cause. The Stripes’ ‘Seven’ nation was brilliantly edited and even more thrilling than the song but Collins’ product feel utterly flat.
Perhaps Collins’ team members realise that it doesn’t take much effort to please the UK market. Yet, even with the momentum generated from his stint on ‘The X Factor (UK)’, Collins will have to put forward stronger material if he wants to sell records in the longrun.

Boring. Next…
He deserves better.
Clearly a low budget video – not just financially but creatively.
Not very imaginative.
