Did you know that the Backstreet Boys have yet to score a #1 song the Billboard Hot 100?
Even during the peak period of their careers, none of the Backstreet Boys’ singles reached the summit of the Hot 100. In fact, their highest-charting song on the lineup remains ‘Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)’, which plateaued at #2 in 1997.
However, the Backstreet Boys did accumulate a pair of #1 albums on the Billboard 200 – ‘Millenium’ and ‘Black & Blue’. Additionally, their ‘Backstreet Boys’ and ‘Millennium’ albums have both reached diamond status in the US with current certifications logged as 14x platinum and 13x platinum, respectively. Also, ‘Millenium’ is the 4th best-selling album of the SoundScan era (1991-present) with 12.17 million copies sold since its release in 1999.
