After teasing her fans with behind the scenes footage of her new video for ‘ICE’, Kelly Rowland has finally released the final product. Directed by Matthew Rolston, this is the first official offering from the sexed up songstress’ ‘Year of the Woman’ album, due in 2013.
Despite being a blatant ripoff of her own hit ‘Motivation’, ‘ICE’ continues to excel on Urban radio. The song is currently at #11 on the format and shows signs of steady growth. You probably enjoyed that bit of info but you’d rather get to the free porn so watch Rowland’s ‘ICE’ video below:
Beyond the blatant product placement and the fact this video is basically part two of ‘Motivation’, ‘ICE’ is still a fun watch. Rowland steps up with great choreography and she looks amazing. Clearly, she understands that if she wants to sell sex then she needs to look the part.
As much as it would be better for Rowland to focus on developing her artistry instead of performing songs far beneath her level of talent, we can only hope that ‘ICE’ develops into a bigger hit. Imagine Rowland as that one child (no Destiny’s Child pun intended) who refuses to follow the path you set for her so you wish her the best in everything she does regardless of how foolish.
