JoJo previously described her ‘Disaster’ video as a depiction of a tumultuous relationship and she has indeed kept her promise. The emotional production was directed by Benny Boom and is the lead release from her ‘Jumping Trains’ album, which is due in early 2012.

Clearly, this video was shot with a limited budget but it achieved the intended purpose of illustrating the meaning of the song. However, it would be a gross understatement to say that this song is quite dull compared to her show-stopping Aaliyah and Amy Winehouse covers earlier this week.
Indeed, JoJo has the look and voice to sell almost any type of music but the grit of R&B and Soul is her true calling. Surely, she recognised that fact herself – as she hinted in her description of ‘Jumping Trains’ – and I hope that when the album succeeds she will explore those aspects of her vast talent.

She should do an R&B remix to this track.
