New Video: Christina Aguilera – ‘Your Body’

Christina Aguilera eats in her new ‘Your Body’ video.
There are two things that Christina Aguilera clearly loves in life – food and sex – and she indulges in both in her new video for ‘Your Body’. Directed by Melina, the fantasy production is the lead offering from Aguilera’s upcoming album, ‘Lotus’, which will be released on November 13th.
Also set to be included on ‘Lotus’ is the vocally-driven ‘Blank Page’. Aguilera shared details of the emotional ballad during an interview with Billboard and noted that it is one of her favourite songs to date, thanks to songwriter Sia. Yet, you just want to see the ‘Your Body’ video so watch it below:
It’s great to see Aguilera having fun in the ‘Your Body’ video without going the extra mile of flashing her crotch as she did in her previous ‘Dirrty’ and ‘Not Myself Tonight’ clips. Clearly, she is focused on making this song hit across various formats and she understands that despite it’s raunchy message, it still needs television airplay.
Best of all, Aguilera dressed to suit her size and she looked gorgeous in the ‘Your Body’ video. There is nothing wrong with being chubby but it’s all about how that larger frame is presented to the world. So, I give this ‘Your Body’ video a positive rating of 4/5 doughnuts.

Britney has iconic videos, she’s one of the best ever to do it on the visual side.. even after her breakdown she still has been able to put out decent videos that are wayy better than this..
Beyonce’s videos are alright but at least she has one classic (single ladies).

Single ladies was not an iconic video the dance was even though it was a ripoff of a past video. There was nothing iconic about 3 women dancing in leotards and booty pads. Im still trying to find an iconic britney video. They have been good but never iconic. Dirrty was more iconic than any britney video.
@diob I’m not a Bey stan but I have to say Single Ladies IS an iconic video. Yes it’s just 3 women dancing in leotards but it’s the simplicity of it that makes it iconic. Not every iconic video has to be over the top.

dlob all of that is your opinion but both Beyonce and Britney are more successful, influential and made a larger impact than your girl. Face it, xtina had the opportunity to sweep both of them under the rug and she blew it. She should have had her Stripped image during her back to basics era and vice versa. But yes the video is tacky but it’s not that bad. The song is catchy and if people were expecting a classic video from xtina they were mistaking themselves. She doesn’t do that.

I understand most xtina fans have issues against Britney, Pink, Beyonce and Shakira since they single handedly swept xtina under the rug in areas that she could have dominated if she played her cards right (pop, pop/rock, pop/r&b, latin pop) but she didn’t. No need to be mad. Just accept it and keep it cute. Focus on the video. By the way the song is currently #32 on itunes and that is after promo and video release.
I thought it was a cute, very stylized video. It was trashy but not gross. I got a little sad looking at Christina because she’s looked better physically (maybe she’s on meds or something causing a weight gain?).
Anyway, catchy hook and visually stunning video. Good job Christina.
