The 2012 BRIT Awards ceremony was hosted this evening at the 02 Arena in London. The event, which celebrated the numerous accomplishments of artists in the UK, featured performances by several major acts such as Rihanna and Adele.

It really doesn’t seem fair to the less talented Pop stars in the industry that Adele has continuously denied them a shot at the top spots of the Billboard charts. Yet, it is certainly not her fault that US consumers have finally rediscovered their taste for real music.

It appears that 2012 will be the year of Jessie J. Indeed, after scoring three nominations for this year’s BRIT Awards and a spot on the panel of ‘The Voice (UK)’, the singer has vaulted to the top of the Official UK Singles Chart and claimed her 2nd #1 single on the tally.
