Shortly after the debut of his new video, ‘Till I Die (Ft. Big Sean & Wiz Khalifa)’, Chris Brown released yet another new song. Thankfully, however, the overtly sexual cliche, entitled ‘Countdown’, won’t be included on the young singer’s upcoming ‘Fortune’ album.
Beyonce’s PR swiftly abated the media controversy involving the singer and her alleged plagiarism of Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s ‘Rosas danst Rosas’ and ‘Achterland’ in her ‘Countdown’ video. Now, probably hoping to make the entire scandal a distant memory, an alternate version of the clip has just been released by Beyonce’s team.
Beyonce’s pregnancy has taken her away from the stage but thanks to a string of pre-taped events and performances, she will be able to maintain her media presence. Indeed, a filmed appearance on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ aired last evening where the entertainer delivered a simple rendition of her latest single, ‘Countdown’.
Beyonce has been embroiled in a tumultuous scandal involving allegations that she stole several scenes of her ‘Countdown’ video from choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker’s ‘Rosas danst Rosas’ and ‘Achterland’ works. In fact, the singer was even forced to release a statement where she openly denied any theft and claimed that she was simply “inspired”.
Beyonce has never been known for her originality but her latest scandal has sparked a fresh wave of public indignation with her actions. Shortly after releasing the video for ‘Countdown’, Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker slammed the singer for copying several dance moves and even the wardrobe from her ‘Rosas danst Rosas’ and ‘Achterland’ works.
Mere days after the release of a preview of her ‘Countdown’ video, Beyonce has debuted the visual in its entirety. Issued to Top 40 and Rhythmic radio on October 4th, the song is the latest single from her platinum-certified ’4′ album.
Beyonce’s ‘Countdown’ will be serviced to Top 40 and Rhythmic radio tomorrow so it was quite clever for her to release this preview of the song’s accompanying video. In the clip, the singer flaunts her rapidly growing baby bump in scenes that have strange similarities to her ‘Greenlight’ visual.
Beyonce’s pregnancy might affect her ability to deliver her exciting onstage dance routines but it won’t prevent her from promoting her ’4′ album on radio. In fact, following the release of ‘Party (Ft. Andre 3000)’ to the Urban format last month, it has just been announced that ‘Countdown’ will officially hit the airwaves in October.
