Rihanna caused a minor scandal when images of her Crop Over costume surfaced yesterday. However, just like the heavy rain, that didn’t stop the Barbadian from partying in the streets, wining and jumping to Soca music.
See Rihanna in all her glory during the Kadmooment Day parade of the bands below:

Her costume is cute and had she been playing mas with TRIBE in Trinidad, it would have been way skimpier. I don’t stand for anyone, I’m just WEST INDIAN TO DI BONE!!
Rihanna look like a nasty tramp. I hope little girls are not looking up to her because she Doesnt have a classy bone in her body.
Chitwnborn shut the f*ck up…obviously your ass is clearly American and have no idea about the West Indies and their festivities..as a matter of fact you probably have no idea about anything outside of America b/c Brazil celebrates it too..haha u dummy. Her mother must be very proud of her. She’s such a slut I bet she has at least 5 STD’s. Beyonce would NEVER act like this
@MJ Stand and @chitwnborn i think you don’t realise is that many Hollywood stars and singers have participated in this event without these holier than thou attitudes being thrown at them. This is a carnival that is similar to those in Venezuelan, Trinidad, St. kitts, St. Lucia, Dominica and now embraced by Brazil, Britain and German for the person responsible for this page who should seriously educate themselves about a culture and their festivities before labeling them as an even where you engage in simulated sex and alcohol, you only highlight your ignorance by that statement. I have found people post Amy Winehouse’s death have forgetting the alcoholic, delusional, depressed, drug addict who muttered her way through her last performance and making a fool of herself for years, but are now praising her as a star, talented and all that crap Rihanna doesn’t engage in any of those activities to get on stage and is as down-to-earth as they come. A girl comfortable enough to walk into a local restaurant in her hometown and is respected enough not to be harassed by the people. Because this is the island most Hollywood names come to escape. Do your research on that and you will see how many have homes here and for once simple reason: to get away from people like Violet who can go to hell with her primitive, barbaric, animalistic bull. Maybe it is because we know how to party and enjoy ourselves that our island’s crime rate is the lowest in the world and our tourist industry is still booming and the members of the Royal Family can still come here and comfortably play cricket on the beach with the locals and not fear for their lives and travel with bodyguards and cage themselves in their rooms and be harrassed by paparazzi. They are allowed their privacy here and love it and they return because we allow them to have a ball without passing judgment. For those of you offended, simply don’t look! Parent your own children and STOP LOOKING FOR ROLE MODELS! also
I believe Americans are the LAST to criticise any culture. Aren’t you the one’s who banned prayer in schools? Please. Before you look to judge anyone, I think you people seriously need to sit down and take a close look at your own society. A country where it is ok to kill your daughter, but it is not ok to like to the police about it for 30 days. A place legalising every type of homosexual abomination known to man, with numerous psycho and serial vermin terrorising your streets, where every corner is a prostitute, redlight district, drug addict and some mob or gang related crime and you judge Rihanna? And you judge Barbados? You need to read 1John 8:7. At least we can walk the streets without fearing for our lives. And for your information, Oprah has a home here too, so does Simon Cowell, Robert Pattinson, Gweneth Paltro, Ivander Hollifield, Justin Beiber, Tiger Woods, the Royal Family has a home here and they all come here, like many others, just to get away and can be seen playing beach cricket with many locals and engaging in activities they don’t have the liberties to do because we don’t stalk people or judge them like you do… And that is only to name a few… and they are always here to get away from you crazies and the paparazzi…
If you check the records, Americans choose Barbados over many other destinations because the island is safe and the people are welcoming. Do your research and you will hear of the many families who buy homes here after visiting. If you get to know Rihanna, not only is she a beautiful girl on the outside, she is a sincere person, like most Bajans. And to my recollection, she brings alot of income in for your suffering economy, which has recently been downgraded. We don’t profit from her, you do. And up to recently she worked tirelessly helping a mother of 2 to find a bone marrow donor for her little girl in the US and has proven her dedication to helping children in need, and created her Believe Foundation in 2006 to help terminally ill children and has performed numerous concerts to raise funds for needy children and for various charities. She performs little acts of kindness, performing at Madonna’s Malawi charity in partnership with UNICEF, signing a game console for a aution benefiting Mission Australia, she is a Cartier charity bracelet ambassador, also finds time to support charities which focus on disaster relief, AIDS and environmental issues and performed at a bear necessities pediatric cancer foundation to raise funds for cancer patients and the organisation and took time out to spend time with the children who are patients there.
I love your blog! Thanks for this post!
