Ciara rarely gives her fans any music-related news so now that she is finally back on her grind, the information is pouring in hard and fast. Indeed, shortly after announcing the upcoming debuts of her new singles, Epic Records revealed the release date of the entertainer’s ‘One Woman Army’ album.
Don’t get too excited, though, because ‘One Woman Army’ won’t be issued until December 4th. The record will be preceded by the dual lead singles ‘Sorry’ and ‘Got Me Good’, which will hit the airwaves on September 13th and October 8th, respectively.
Ciara’s previous album, ‘Basic Instinct’, was a commercial disaster and entered the Billboard 200 at #44 with only 37K copies sold. Additionally, none of its supporting singles cracked the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. To date, the LP has yet to be certified by the RIAA.
Hopefully, the contributions of The Underdogs, Rodney Jerkins, Soundz, Jasper Cameron, Josh Abraham and Jermaine Dupri will yield better results for Ciara’s ‘One Woman Army’ project. Watch the video for ‘Gimme Dat’ from her ‘Basic Instinct’ album below just for fun:
