Kelly Clarkson’s new song, ‘Catch My Breath’, won’t be issued to iTunes until October 16th but you don’t have to wait until that time to hear the record. In fact, the track premiered on radio via ‘On Air with Ryan Seacrest’ earlier this morning!
‘Catch My Breath’ is the lead single from Clarkson’s ‘Greatest Hits – Chapter 1′ album, which will be released on November 19th. While speaking about the song, which was co-written by Jason Halbert and Eric Olsen, Clarkson noted, “this song represents who I’ve been, what I’ve felt, and where I’m headed as not only an artist but as a 30 year old that is now smart enough to know that it’s time to stop, catch my breath, and be proud of not only what has been accomplished but of all the people that have helped me become the woman I am today.”

To say that ‘Catch My Breath’ is a strong contender for heavy Top 40/Mainstream airplay would be a serious understatement. Clarkson has crafted an uplifting yet catchy song that truly depicts her versatility as a singer. People claim that there aren’t any strong vocalists left in the industry but listening to Clarkson belt and toy with her range on this song clearly disproves that idea. I will be shocked if ‘Catch My Breath’ doesn’t develop into a hit.
