This is one interview that even I didn’t see coming. Earlier today, Jay-Z appeared on the ever controversial The Breakfast Club for the first time to promote his recently released album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, and caught many of the listeners by surprise. However, his new music wasn’t the only topic on the agenda.
Without or without Nielsen SoundScan’s support, Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail will top the Billboard 200 next week. In fact, the album will sell north of 400K copies and help the Hip-Hop icon to further extend his already impressive chart record.
In addition to big beats, Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail also boasts an all-star lineup of guest performers to help distract people from the fact that he has lost his touch. For instance, this new song, “BBC”, features Nas, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz.
As promised, Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail has been released to one million Samsung Galaxy users and one of the standout tracks is his latest Beyonce collaboration, “Part II (On the Run)”. Although Nielsen SoundScan and Billboard won’t count the “free” downloads of Jay-Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail toward his first week sales, the RIAA has gladly accepted the rapper’s new rules. To celebrate, he has unveiled the cover of the overhyped album.

The blogosphere has been buzzing nonstop since Jay-Z announced that his Magna Carta Holy Grail album will be released to retailers on July 7th. Now, to keep the interesting high, the icon has shared additional footage of his recording sessions with Timbaland in this new Samsung Galaxy commercial.
Kanye West isn’t the only megalomaniac in the Roc Nation family. His mentor and leader, Jay-Z, rules the roost of egotistical rappers, although he demands attention in a much more subtle way. For instance, while crafting what sounds like incredible music in this Samsung Galaxy commercial, Jay-Z announced his new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail.
If you say Beyonce’s name too many times, she will magically appear and force you to spin golden hairs to add to her wig. At least, that’s the impression I got earlier today after posting a series of articles on The Lava Lizard and the diva took the stage at the Chime For Change: The […]
The cover of the 2013 TIME magazine 100 Most Influential People in the World edition was revealed earlier today and was soon followed by the full list of industry power players has been unveiled. Yet, aside from the puzzling ranking, what really caught people’s attention were the accompanying descriptions written by famous figures about their […]
